This shocking graphic picture shows why you should never take cocaine

A graphic image is putting drug users off cocaine for life by showing the castrophicdamage it can do to a person's mouth.

A dentist hoping to warn about the physical effects of the deadly narcotic published the image on his Facebook Page.
He hopes to deter people from experimenting with the drug by showing the dramatic tissue damage it can cause around the nose and mouth.
Dentist Howard Farran posted the picture to Facebook, with a simple description.
"Palatal perforation due to cocaine abuse," he said.
The image has been shared more than 67,000 times and garnered around 7,500 comments, most of them shocked by the photograph.

"It may stop a lot of people from using."
Website drugaddictiontreatment.com describes the effect on tissue .
"Cocaine snorting damages nasal health in several different ways.
"Under the influence of cocaine, the sympathetic nervous system significantly narrows blood vessels throughout the body, including the vessels that send blood to the tissues in the nasal cavity.
"Consequences of this narrowing include an increase in blood pressure and a drop in the amount of blood that can easily flow through the vessels at any given time.
"Without their required blood supply, the tissues in the nasal cavity start to undergo destructive changes in their normal level of function and overall health."
