The boy found dead on a building site had his breathing restricted by his clothes after he got stuck in a pipe, police have revealed.
Conley Thompson’s clothes were pushed up tightly around him as he fell down the plastic tube.
Officers said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the seven-year-old lad’s death.
It is believed he got into the building site near his home through a broken fence which has now been repaired.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Stopford, the senior investigating officer, said: “The results of the post-mortem suggest that Conley had, by some means, entered a vertical pipe on a nearby construction site and was unable to get out.

“Conley’s weight caused him to fall further into the pipe and pushed his clothing up around his body, restricting his breathing.
"There is no suggestion of any third party involvement.”
He added: “Our job is to piece together Conley’s movements on Sunday evening and establish how he accessed the construction site.
“Forming part of that investigation we will continue to work with the Health and Safety Executive and our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Conley at this extremely difficult time.”
Conley vanished after playing in a park with friends in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, on Sunday night.

He failed to arrive home, which is two miles from the park, and was reported missing at about 10pm.
More than 50 officers and a police helicopter joined the hunt for him.
Police are not understood to have checked the building site thoroughly because the gates were securely locked and there is a fence around the edge.
Conley’s body was found at around 8.30am on Monday by workers at the site a few hundred yards from his home in Worsbrough.
Family said the lad’s mum Paula Thompson is heartbroken.
Conley’s gran, Deborah Fraser, said: “He was a lovely little lad, boisterous, got into anything and everything but his smile could light up a room.”
She added: “We know he’s got through a small hole in top of the site, and because it’s been wet he’s slid and gone into a vertical pipe.
“He’s been known to go in there before and we’ve told him not to.
“I hate to think what his little mind was going through. His mother is devastated, we all are.”
Dozens of floral tributes have been laid at the building site.
