Eye Level, a self-directed learning center, recently announced its 22nd annual literature award, a worldwide competition that highlights the talents of aspiring authors of children's books. Adults and children can enter the competition now through Aug. 31 for a chance to have their story published and win one of three global grand prizes, including a trip to South Korea and cash prizes of up to $10,000.
At the request of many of you - esteemed readers - I'm publishing the 3rd prize winning essay in the 2013 Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) Essay Competition. This piece is published here with the kind permission of the author, Alao Idris Ibrahim, a good friend of mine, who was the 1st prize winner of the 2013 Naija Writers' Coach Essay Competition.

This essay writing competition is a joint initiative of Centre for Civil Society and LawLex Organization to encourage young minds to engage in a critical thought process and to provide them with a platform to express their opinions.
