Bans on Bitcoin Advertisements and Policy Change

Bitcoin is a digital peer to peer decentralized crypto-currency

Twitter has become the latest firm to ban cryptocurrency adverts on its site in the hopes of reducing fraud.

The site follows in the footsteps of both Facebook and Google , who earlier this year banned the virtual currency adverts.

In a statement, Twitter said: “We are committed to ensuring the safety of the Twitter community.

"As such, we have added a new policy for Twitter Ads relating to cryptocurrency.”
The new policy prohibits adverts for initial currency offerings (ICOs) - a method used by some startups to raise huge amounts of money.

Facebook banned cryptocurrency ads but it still shows them anyhow

Fed up with Facebook? Here's how to protect your data

Is it time to delete your Facebook account?

That's the question many of its users are asking in light of revelations that data firm Cambridge Analytica accessed and improperly stored information from millions of users.

The hashtag #DeleteFacebook was trending on Twitter in wake of the news.

"If you're angry about what Facebook has done with our data then just #deletefacebook," wrote one user on Twitter. "Remember we aren't the customers we are the product."

While deleting Facebook seems like an obvious option, there are other things you can do to protect your information.

Here's everything you need to know about how to better control what's shared on Facebook:

Related: Facebook's data crisis deepens as questions mount

How to (mostly) stop Facebook from sharing your data

Deleting or deactivating Facebook isn't an option for everyone -- you may not want to give up staying in touch with family and friends or participating in support groups.

But you may be surprised how many apps like Airbnb or Venmo you've logged into through the social network over the years. Services make it easy to log in with Facebook rather than requiring a separate username and password.

This raises concern because users may not realize how much those third-party apps gain access to your personal data.

To do some spring cleaning, you'll want to visit Facebook's App page under the Settings menu to see how many apps you have connected to your account. You can select which services you want to remove at the top of the page or disable all of them via Apps, Website and Plugins > Edit.

However, you won't be able to log into apps like Instagram or Spotify using your Facebook account anymore. Instead, you'll need to sign up for the service directly with a unique log in.

Keep in mind apps you've already installed could still have your shared information even after disabling the feature. You'll have to contact the app individually and ask for your data to be removed. Facebook doesn't give instructions on how to best reach out the app.

Another thing you may not know: People on Facebook who can see your information can bring it with them when they use apps such as games. By selecting Settings > Apps > Apps Others Use, uncheck the boxes you don't want those apps to access, such as your birthday, hometown, and political views.

How to delete or deactive your Facebook

Another way to protect your personal data is to permanently delete your account.

Facebook has a dedicated page to walk you through the steps. But you won't be able to reactive your account or access any of the content or information you've shared, if you change your mind.

The process of wiping the associated data also takes a bit of time.

"It may take up to 90 days from the beginning of the deletion process to delete all of the things you've posted, like your photos, status updates or other data stored in backup systems. While we are deleting this information, it is inaccessible to other people using Facebook," the company says in its Help Center page.

It's unclear whether third-party apps will still have access to the data after your account has been permanently deleted.

Facebook users can also opt to deactivate accounts in case they want to access them again. The deactivation option can be found in the Settings menu under Manage Account > Edit.

A disabled profile scrubs names and photos from Facebook, but some information could still be seen by other users, such as in messages previously sent.

If you're afraid of losing content you've posted on Facebook over the years, such as photos or statuses, you can preserve it via Settings > General > Download a copy of your Facebook data.

WhatsApp cofounder: 'It is time' to delete Facebook

WhatsApp cofounder Brian Acton has a message for Facebook users: Delete Facebook.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Acton joined the chorus of voices calling on people to delete the social network. His advice to users to stop using the service is notable because WhatsApp is owned by Facebook.

The social network acquired his company for $19 billion in 2014.

The "delete Facebook" movement is growing due in part to a massive data scraping scandal in which data firm Cambridge Analytica harvested information on 50 million Facebook users without their knowledge.

Acton left Facebook (FB) in September of last year, and recently announced a $50 million investment in secure messaging app Signal and joined the company's foundation.

Facebook is under fire from the public and politicians in the United States and the United Kingdom over its data privacy practices. The company is taking a financial hit, too—Facebook lost $50 billion in market value this week.

Acton is one of a number of tech executives and investors calling out Facebook. On Tuesday, venture capitalist Roger McNamee, a Facebook investor and former mentor to CEO Mark Zuckerberg, said the social network is facing a crisis of public trust "that is going to destroy the company."

Deleting Facebook may not be a viable option for some, but those who want to detach themselves from the Facebook platform would need to delete apps Facebook owns, too, which include WhatsApp and Instagram. Signal is a secure alternative for people who choose to leave WhatsApp.

Nigerian musicians are visionless & deceptively uncreative we need MANDATORS ( lyrical prophets like Femi kuti, Tu Face,

What direction is our industry going our celebrities are visionless & deceptively uncreative. We need MANDATORS (prophets) not booty shaking money making musicians like davido wizkid and the raggedy rat pack

The late Lady Peggy and Victor Essiet of the  reggae band MANDATORS circa 1987. Back then NIGERIAN artists such as The black president Fela kuti, Ras Kimono, the late Reverend Sonny Okosun, Tera Kota, Peterside Otong, Andy Shurman, Orits Wiliki, Amos Macroy Jegg, Black Rice and Majek Fashek of Jahstix  Femi Kuti, Tu Face Idibia, Seun Kuti, Charlie Boy, Oritse Femi, african China, Black face .

They were patriotic and they used their music to address social issues. Their lyrics reflected political and social issues ranging from concerns about poverty, unemployment, corruption, tribalism and bad leadership.

They were not afraid to speak their minds even at risk of imprisonment, they impacted lives through their music by giving people hope.

In February 2017  Tuface was to lead nationwide demonstrations against the harsh economic crisis facing Nigerians but announced its cancellation hours before the scheduled march.

He cited “security concerns” after police warned him against going ahead with the demonstrations.

The protests, led by civil society groups and activists went on nonetheless in Lagos, Abuja and Uyo.

But before 2face came forward to lead this protest, some other Nigerian celebrities have been protesting against the deterioration in the society caused by bad governance.

From Femi Kuti to Oritsefemi and Charly Boy, below are other Nigerian celebrities protesting against the government one way or the other.

1. Charly Boy

An unashamed activist, Charly Boy has been very vocal in his fight against corruption, oppression, division and the forces that seek to undermine democracy, and against the systems that keep us in chains.

The controversial star on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, even went as far as leading protesters on the platform of "Occupy Unlimited" to the National Assembly grounding activities in Abuja.

Charly Boy led other Nigerians to protest alleged corruption in the legislature.

Charly Boy, the national coordinator of the advocacy group said the protest was born out of the will of Nigerian youths who have shown the desire to "stand up against the injustice and oppression done against them by corrupt politicians."

2. Seun Kuti

Seun Kuti is also an activist helping to push for more effective oversight.

Following in the footsteps of his father's musical activism, he plays in the same band his father once led, Egypt 80, at The Shrine.

Recall that Seun's own grandmother died when, in 1978, she was thrown from her balcony for speaking out against the government by a large group of armed men sent by the ruling military to crack down on Fela's renegade Kalakuta Republic.

But that doesn't stop him as he was once reported saying 'he isn't frightened of government retribution'.

In one of his songs "Rise," Seun implores Africans to rise up against foreign exploitation, from oil companies in Nigeria to diamond traders in The Democratic Republic of the Congo.

3. African China

Although not as vocal as he used to be (thanks to a dwindling career), this list will not be complete without mentioning him.

Recall, this star started a new school of activism in music some ten years ago with hits like 'Mr President', a conscious song that rocked the four cardinal points of Nigeria back then.

4. Femi i Kuti

Taking after his vocal father Fela Kuti, Femi is another hot activist. The four-time Grammy award nominated Afrobeat musician is anti-government.
His new album highly rated worldwide

Recently, in a poem published on his website titled, "Make we remember", the musician called out African leaders.

"na because we no won know the good leaders of Africa

na because we no won know the good people wey dey here

na because we no won know we get yeye leaders

na because we no won know poverty plenty for here"

In his songs, his tweets, at the Afrika Shrine. All the time, Femi Kuti has always been an activist even engaging the government in a brawl on social media.

Femi continuously captures the will of the people in his music.

5. Oritsefemi

Again this list would not be complete without including the corporate miscreant himself, Oritsefemi.

Remember his hits, 'Flog Politicians', 'Boyz dey Binu', Mercies of the Lord', and recent jam 'Mr gomina', all these songs were against bad governance and economic instability.

It was a hit on the streets... Back to back!

6. Blackface
Where do we even start from. With songs like 'E dey pain me 'Hard life', Blackface was and is still capturing the wills of the people.

A former member of the defunct group,Plantashun Boiz, Blackface also resorts to talking about bad governance on social media.

Blackface constantly calls against the self-serving, disconnected leaders, plaguing Nigeria since her independence.

How To Obtain And Develop Dazzling Invention Ideas

Kelly Wilson

More so due to the fact that need to create as well as create normally originates from the depths of an individual's heart and soul. Nevertheless in addition to the innovative side, a good inventor needs a little equilibrium as well as the capability to be able to mindful scale as well as court whether their creation is actually something that will eventually confirm to be helpful or it is just a wishful thinking that will never ever fly.

Which brings us to the most crucial test for any type of invention. This is an examination that virtually every creation has to pass to hope to be anywhere near sensible. It centers on the question whether it will address any type of issue sufficiently sufficient to be seen to work. It is very common to come across inventors that have created some showy device that is able to complete some task but does not really address any kind of issue or enhance the quality of life for anyone by any means. Even if you were to push such an item right into the market, t would certainly prove really difficult to sell or to discover clients for it.

It is interesting to keep in mind right here that numerous inventions have actually wound up offering an entirely various purpose than what they were planned for. Viagra one of the most popular selling drugs of the modern age was checked as a medicinal solution to a totally different human condition. Something to do with managing high blood pressure in individuals. Some sharp experts noticed it's intriguing side effect an opened a whole new market and a valuable wonder drug for the manufacturer.

This is one reason that it is important that you approach the screening stage of your models with an open mind. Potential customers and consumers also regularly pull off shocks and wind up behaving completely in different ways from what you may have anticipated.

In other words great invention ideashave often emerged out there on the market, significantly turning upside down the designated objective and use
