The internet is abuzz with reports that Beyoncé and Jay Z are preparing to divorce after the rumor that the R&B singer had been cheating on her rapper husband emerged in the wake of the now-infamous post-Met Gala elevator fight. Sources have indicated to Star Magazine that the 'Halo' singer and Julius de Boer, her bodyguard, have been having a long-term affair and that Jay Z's suspicions were alerted long ago. We must make it clear that Star magazine don't exatly have a glowing record of acurate exclusives. 

"Jay definitely thinks that there was and may still be something romantic going on between Bey and Julius," a source told the publication. "He wanted to fire Julius last February, but Beyoncé said, 'Julius isn't going anywhere.'"

"They've spent a lot of time together behind closed doors," the insider continued. "He's even stayed in her hotel room." Rumors of a secret relationship between Bey and Julius first arose back in 2009 when the pair were snapped leaving a hotel in Berlin. In the photo Beyoncé's mouth is strangely covered by her hand whilst Julius mouth is allegedly covered in red lipstick.

Boer, who was in the elevator when Solange Knowles physically attacked brother-in-law Jay Z after the Met gala, is reportedly of Dutch descent and is divorced with a four year-old daughter. The rumors seem to have prompted the high profile pair to change their bodyguard as of the 31st May.

Additionally, observers have also noticed that Beyoncé's "IV" tattoo, which denoted her own and Jay's birthday and their wedding date, on her hand has been fading recently and could be in the process of being removed. "To the public, Beyonce and Jay Z appear to have it all. But behind closed doors, they're not as happy as people think they are," a source said to be close to Jay Z toldRadar Online.

The insider added: "Jay's been telling his friends that Beyonce is getting her ring tattoo removed, the one they got when they were married. He just sorta shrugs it off though saying 'Nothing is forever.'"

Jay Z and Beyoncé are currently gearing up for their joint 'On The Run' world tour and neither have publically commented on the reports.

Simon Cowell has defended his boyband One Direction in the wake of the group's smoking scandal, branding them the "hardest working" act in music.

Bandmates Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik hit headlines last week (ends01Jun14) when footage of them apparently puffing on a cannabis cigarette in a car in Peru leaked online.

The pop stars have yet to comment on the video, but their mentor Cowell, who put the group together on the 2010 series of Britain's The X Factor, has publicly backed the pair by praising their work ethic.

In a red carpet interview on Monday (02Jun14), he said, "I can't really comment on that. What I can say, however... is they are the hardest working boys I've ever worked with, they still haven't changed. They're really respectful to their fans, they're a great British export."

When asked by a reporter what advice he has for the group after the scandal, he added: "You know what, I can't comment on that. It's a private matter... I hope the fans stay loyal."

Liam Payne is the only member of the band to have commented on the clip - he took to Twitter.com over the weekend (31May-01Jun14) to apologise to fans, explaining the group has a lot of "growing up" to do.

Nigeria Police Begins Counter-Terrorism Enlightenment Campaign, Analysts Say Approach Is Wrong!

The Nigeria Police has announced the commencement of a Counter-terrorism Enlightenment Campaign (CEC) today, June 2.

A statement from the Force said the campaign will feature a massive distribution of information, education and communication (IEC) materials in various languages throughout Nigeria, and will continue until every citizen is well informed of their responsibilities in the age of terrorism.

“The public enlightenment materials, which are factsheets containing distress call numbers of the Police, the Department of State Services (DSS) and that of the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), are carefully designed by the Police to educate the general public on their basic roles in the fight against terrorism and how to identify terrorists’ subterfuge and other known modus operandi of criminals,” the statement said.  “This is expected to help in protecting citizens from falling victim to crime, thereby improving overall sense of communal safety.”

In the campaign, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. MD Abubakar, is urging Nigerians to partner with the Force and support it, the statement said, asking them to pay rapt attention to the security and safety tips contained in the counter-terrorism leaflets being circulated by the Force.

“Reiterating the commitment of the Police and other security agencies to winning the war against terror, the IGP enjoins the general public to insist on frustrating every step of the terrorist by remaining vigilant all the time,” the statement said, adding that he thanked Nigerians for their patience and resilience in the present circumstance.

An analyst who saw some of the leaflets dismissed them as being “grossly inadequate,” and suggested that it is only a minute part of what the Force needs to do.

“They should go into communities and schools and work on developing the rapport that has been damaged; holding workshops and sensitivity trainings,” he said, warning that the police must understand that most communities do not trust them, and that leaflets will not change that.

“Let them accept the challenge of developing relationships with communities and their leaders,”he told SaharaReporters, “because a leaflet does not reassure a citizen the police will answer and not betray him when he uses his phone to call for help or report a neighbor.  
“Let the IGP, the AIGs, the commissioners and other top police personnel show up at some of these events and demonstrate their commitment to the security to the people.  Just printing bulletins for distribution by the same people who are either distrusted or disrespected is simply the squandering of millions of Naira by the police printer or some lucky contractor.”

Another public policy analyst told SaharaReporters, “If the IGP wants the vigilance and support of the public, he must step into the streets and earn it by rebuilding the bridge to various communities one citizen at a time.  Otherwise he can keep his leaflets and we will be no less at risk.”

Cultist Go On Rampage, Kill 15 In Broad Daylight in Owerri,Imo state Capital

Some suspected cult members went on rampage yesterday, June 2, killing no fewer than 15 people in Owerri, the Imo State capital in broad daylight.

The cultists were said to have gunned down some of their victims while using axe on others.

According to an eyewitness who pleaded anonymity, the incident was caused by the death of a member of the Black Axe confraternity who was allegedly ambushed and killed by members of a rival cult group, the Buccaneers, in one of the popular hotels in Owerri.

The source said the Black Axe cult members who were armed, trailed the suspected killers of their members to Ekeonunwa market where they killed about five people in the presence of traders, who abandoned their goods to parts of the city and scampered for their lives.

They traced others to another part of the city, there they shot a man a man who just recently got married. They were said to have cut him into pieces before some armed police men arrived the scene.

They engaged in a gun battle which lasted for hours, with the policemen and 8 suspects were arrested.

Confirming the incident, the Police spokesman Andrew Enwerem said the number of casualties was yet to be confirmed, adding that investigations are ongoing to apprehend other suspects.

Astronomers have discovered a surprising planet, a rocky world with 17 times the mass of Earth. There have been “Super-Earths” discovered before, but this one is in a league of its own. The scientists call it a “Mega-Earth.”

Discovered by NASA’s Kepler space telescope and announced Monday at an astronomy meeting in Boston, this planet, officially named Kepler-10c, scrambles the equations that dictate how massive a rocky planet can be without ballooning into a Jupiter-like gas giant

It now appears that planets are extremely abundant — virtually every star may have at least one planet. But the habitability of these worlds remains a mystery. No one has found an exact Earth twin — a rocky, Earth-size world orbiting a sunlike star in the habitable zone.

One bulletin Monday from the American Astronomical Society meeting in Boston offered a reminder that there are a lot of ways a planet can prove inhospitable to life. The “space weather,” for example, might be ghastly.

Astrophysicist Ofer Cohen of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics modeled the environments of three candidate planets identified by the Kepler telescope, each apparently rocky like Earth, and orbiting their stars in what is deemed the “habitable zone.” That’s the region in the Goldilocks position, not so close to the star that the planet gets baked and not so far away that water at the surface would probably be frozen.

All three of those parent stars studied by Cohen and his colleagues are common red dwarfs, also known as M-dwarfs, which account for about seven of every 10 stars in our galaxy (but not our sun, which is a larger yellow dwarf). The “habitable zone” of these small stars is relatively close. But that brings into the equation another factor: the stellar wind, the particles streaming from the star’s surface. Cohen concluded that the stellar wind probably would have stripped away the atmospheres of these planets.

“These planets don’t reside in a vacuum,” Cohen said. “They reside in a medium that has a continuous flow of particles, mostly protons, that are emitted by the star.”

This is what happened to Mars, he said. Long ago it had a protective magnetic field, as does Earth, and it held on to its atmosphere in the face of the solar wind. But Mars then lost its magnetic field, and solar wind stripped away the Martian atmosphere, he said.

This new research might alter the strategy of astronomers looking for truly Earth-like planets in habitable zones.

“Maybe we should not focus on M-dwarfs, even though those are so common,” Cohen said. “Maybe we should focus on the more sunlike stars.

The burglars who broke into Miley Cyrus' house over the weekend snatched some pretty expensive swag!

On Friday afternoon, North Hollywood officers arrived to the "Wrecking Ball" singer's residence after a burglary call was reported at around 4 p.m. Upon investigation, the LAPD confirms that a male and female who scaled a fence and gained access to Miley's home ended up taking some of Miley's jewelry along with her 2014 white, four-door Maserati Quattroporte sports car!

Considering the price tag of a Maserati Quattroporte (they start at over $100,000), we hope Miley gets her car back!

According to officials, the North Hollywood burglary investigators are still investigating the burglary.

Luckily, no one was home at the time of the burglary. Miley was overseas on her Bangerz concert tour when the incident happened.

While the 21-year-old pop star hasn't made mention of the unfortunate burglary via social media, she did tweet over the weekend, "so f--kin homesick."

The May 30 burglary isn't the first. Miley's home was broken into back in November, just a day after she turned 21. There were no signs of forced entry at the time and property was once again taken from the home.
