People come for Brandy for posting 'negative' pics of Africa

Quite a number of people from different parts of Africa blasted US singer Brandy for posting pics on her instagram page that they felt 'portrayed Africa in a bad light'. Brandy, who was in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire a few days ago to perform, posted the photo above and called it 'Beauty'. She posted another pic of three young boys in tattered clothing and called it 'depth'.
Africans didn't see the 'beauty' or 'depth' in the photos. More responses after the cut...

Burna Boy was part of a gang that stabbed someone to death?

I did a double take after reading this report on Thenet.ng. According to the investigative news portal, singer Burna Boy was part of a gang that stabbed someone to death in the UK in 2010. See it below...
Burn Boy’s ‘uncontrollable’ mannerism and persona didn’t just start yesterday; NET investigations and sources have linked him to a criminal past, a period of his life he would rather not make public knowledge.
We are told on good authority that while in the UK back in 2010, Burna Boy was arrested by London Police for allegedly being part of a gang and stabbing someone to death. He was tried as a minor and sent to jail.
After 11 months, he was released and given two months parole plus community service on the grounds of being of ‘good behaviour’. But Burna is said to have disobeyed authorities and travelled back to Nigeria where he signed a record deal with Aristokrat.
He later travelled back to the UK but was arrested at the airport and deported to Nigeria. He is currently barred from the UK for the next 15 years.

The talk is GAY-GAY-GAY for Britney Spears...
Baby, one more time!
In a new interview, B. Spears is dishing on her GBFs (gay best friends) and icon status in the LGBT community!
She revealed that Britney Jean might be the gayest albumshe's ever written - and many of her male bestiez inspired the deepest tracks:

"I get inspiration from them on almost all of my songs. They're somewhat girls, so it's so inspiring to do stuff that they like to hear, like the cool 'in' stuff. Whatever I do for each record is definitely inspired by them."

We know her crew helped the pop princess view Work B*tchas a term of endearment, so Brit Brit always asks them for input on everything - including their fetch and exciting slang:

Gucci Mane Facing Up To 20 Years In Prison On Federal Gun Charges

Gucci Mane really hasn't had the best of years in 2013. He's feuded with many of his former affiliates, violated his probation and been arrested, was reportedlydropped from Atlantic Records, just to name of a few of his misadventures. And those misadventures continue with this latest piece of news, which may be the worst bit of news yet-- GuWop is facing up to 20 years in prison on federal gun charges.
We reported over the weekend about how Gucci was ordered to hand over all his guns and ammunitions. In federal court on Tuesday Gucci was charged with two counts of possession of guns as a felon, following two incidents in September when he threatened and showed cops his firearms.
We've been keeping you up to date on the various shenanigans of Gucci, but the federal prosecutor's news release shed more light on the incidents dating back to September-- around the time Gucci was going on his Twitter spree and had been dropped from Atlantic.
"On September 12, 2013, Davis, who was a felon at the time, was found in possession of a firearm," the release said via CNN. "Then, just two days later, on September 14th, he again possessed a firearm different from the earlier gun. On both occasions, Davis displayed the loaded firearm, acted erratically, and made threats to individuals, including police and his attorney."
Each firearm possession charge could result in a maximum sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000. We'll keep you updated as this unfolds

12 Movie Trailers That Were Better Than The movie

(via) Forget for a moment that we’re currently knee-deep in one of the buzziest Oscar seasons that I can recall in recent memory and try to remember bad movies for a second. You know, those things that never win an award and are actually pretty garbagey? I’ll give you a second to try to recall. Well anyway, sometimes movies aren’t great, and that sucks. But usually you can tell pretty far in advance, because it’s indicated in the trailer. Sommmmmetimes, though, you can’t tell at all and you get blindsided by a really crappy movie as soon as your ass hits the chair, and that’s because of film trailers. Once in a blue moon, someone really nails a movie trailer, to the point that it ends up being better than the actual movie. And since we don’t want you to get tricksied into seeing these movies just because it seems awesome in the three minute preview, we made a list of all the trailers that were better than the full-length movies themselves. Consider yourselves warned. 1. Where The Wild Things Are This one got me and it got me hard. The swelling music, the nostalgic storybook characters from my childhood? If the trailer was hitting me so hard that it teared me up every time, what was the movie gonna do to me? Answer: not a whole lot, it was pretty crappy. 2. The Book Thief I figured this was gonna be a tear-jerker as well, but it’s hard to take a movie seriously when God is the irreverent narrator, and he’s making jokey comments about the Holocaust. Better luck next time, Geoffrey Rush. 3. The Great Gatsby The champagne! The Jay Z songs! The swift cuts between lush, colorful, Baz Luhrman party scenes! …turns out it’s tough to sustain that when it’s over two hours long and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the one-dimensional man in a three-dimensional world. A stick figure for the ages. Stick with the abridged version — they got pretty much the entire plot out in all the various trailers anyway. 4. Brave This wasn’t even a bad movie per se, it just seemed a lot more lady empowerment-esque from the trailer, and it got me really excited for it. 5. The Counselor Something about the trailer didn’t suggest to me that this would be THE WORST MOVIE I’D EVER SEEN. Even if it did have Cameron Diaz in it. 6. The Place Beyond The Pines Hate to break it to you guys, but this was not a movie centered around Ryan Gosling being charming and delightful in every way. He’s in one third of the movie and three thirds of the trailer, so which do you think I prefer? 7. The Hunger Games If I could’ve watched that movie without the shaky cam, I would’ve been mighty appreciative. Or if I could’ve known when I first saw the trailer that the movie wouldn’t measure up, that would’ve been fine too. 8. Watchmen Too bad these characters couldn’t be held together by any form lasting more than the three minute trailer? RIP idea of a good movie. 9. Vantage Point THIS LOOKED SO GOOD WHEN I SAW THE PREVIEW IN THEATERS. But every friend of mine who saw it said it was garbage, and I’m extremely susceptible to peer pressure so I didn’t even bother. Whether I was wrong or not, I still have the trailer to ease my sorrows. 10. Cloverfield I mean, the plot’s all there already. What more are you waiting for from the film itself? Save your thirteen dollars and sleep a little more soundly. 11. Date Night Steve Carell and Tina Fey in the same movie? Where do I sign? Oh, right on the trailer line, before seeing the actual movie, which was a disappointment. 12. American Hustle I’m really hoping this isn’t true, but I’m worried that the trailer for this movie might be better than the film itself. You can’t just combine two casts together and expect the result to be watchable, right? I mean, right? I don’t know anything anymore, but it’s a solid trailer.

VIDEO- Paul Walker Car Crash Caught on Camera

Paul Walker's Car Accident at Time of Impact footage of the car crash that killed Fast & Furious star Paul Walker and his friend and business partner Roger Rodas.

This is the shocking moment Paul Walker's car crashed and burst into a mass of flames, killing the Fast & Furious actor and the car's driver instantly.

The CCTV footage, obtained by American celebrity website TMZ, was captured by CCTV cameras on the roof of an industrial park close to the crash site.

On the right hand side of the screen, you can see Roger Rodas' red Porsche Carrera GT as it crashed into one of the trees lining the road.

Seconds later, the vehicle explodes, sending plumes of thick black smoke into the air.

Approaching cars are forced to stop as the dramatic scene unfolds, before emergency services are seen arriving.

Both Walker and Rodas died in the horror crash on Saturday, leaving their friends, family, colleagues, and fans of the actor devastated.

Police investigating the collision say that speed was "at least a contributing factor" in the smash, and have been looking into suggestions the Porsche may have been racing another vehicle.

However,as these CCTV images show, there appears to have been no other cars on the road at the point of impact.

FUTO Sacks All Academic Staff for not Returning to Classroom

Following the orders by the Federal Government, urging all universities to re-open, the Senate of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Tuesday sacked all academic staff with immediate effect.

The Federal Government had through the Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike had vow to sack any lecturer who fails to return to class within seven days, and had directed vice-chancellors of federal universities that are currently on strike to immediately re-open for academic and allied activities.

The Public Relations Officers (PRO) of the institution, Mr Chike Ezenwa, speaking with the Nigerian Tribune in Owerri, said the senate of the university had declared all the positions of academic staff in the institution, adding that they would be advertised starting from Monday, December 2.

READ MORE AFTER THE CUT..............................

The senate said it had already compiled the list of vacant positions in the school. The school authority have urged those willing to resume would be adequately protected.

Education Minister, Wike had said,“All Vice-chancellors of Federal Universities that are on strike should immediately reopen for academic and allied activities as directed by their Pro-Chancellors. Vice-Chancellors should ensure that staff who resume for work are provided with the enabling environment for academic and allied activities.

Though the order said any academic staff who fails to resume on or before December 4, 2013, automatically ceases to be staff of the institution and vice-chancellors are also directed to advertise vacancies (internal and external) in their institutions. One wonders why the FUTO order comes a day to government’s deadline.
