Woman held captive for 18 years CAN'T sue government for failing to supervise kidnapper on parole

Jaycee Lee Dugard
Jaycee Dugard was just 11 when she was abducted in 1991
A woman who was kidnapped and help captive for 18 years by a convicted sex offender cannot sue the US government for failing to properly supervise him on parole, a court has ruled.
Jaycee Dugard was just 11 when she was snatched near to her California home by Phillip Garrido, who kept her prisoner in a warren of sheds and tents in his backyard.
She was repeatedly raped and gave birth to two daughters in captivity in the northern California community of Antioch.
Dugard's plight was eventually revealed in 2009 when Garrido brought her and her children to a parole office that had been contacted by police at the University of California, Berkeley, who had become suspicious of him.

Man who threw boiling water on gay couple will spend 40 years in prison

A jury has convicted an Atlanta truck driver accused of pouring boiling water over two gay men as the couple slept in February.
The jury deliberated for about 90 minutes Wednesday before finding Martin Blackwell guilty of eight counts of aggravated battery and two counts of aggravated assault, according to the Associated Press.
Blackwell was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
The 48-year-old wasn’t charged with a hate crime because Georgia is one of five states that do not have hate crime statutes. An FBI spokesman told Reuters that federal investigators are considering whether to charge Blackwell with a federal hate crime.

TORY LANEZ MAKES A REALLY WEIRD COMMENT ABOUT THE SUPPOSED BEEF BETWEEN HIM AND DRAKE

tory drizzy

It’s a really interesting time to have beef with Drake. When you’re the biggest rapper in the game, there will be a target on your back–ask Hov–and everyone from Meek Mill to Pusha T has taken shots in recent years. More recently, Tory Lanez found himself caught up in a riff with the Toronto rapper when Drake rapped “All you new Toronto n*ggas want to be me a little” on his January release “Summer Sixteen.” (That was a reference to Lanez New Toronto mixtape, which had been out a mere few weeks at the time.) Since then, Lanez and Drake have traded jabs and light shots at each other, be it in song or on stage at their respective shows. It was once rumored that Drake had been borrowing some of his artistic style from Lanez, then an underground artist, and chances are that Drake didn’t like the sound of that.

Rick Ross fired a warning shot in the air for Drake ... on the heels of the renewed feud with Meek Mill.
Rick was on the "Drink Champs" podcast when N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN asked about his homie, Meek, getting destroyed by Drizzy. Rozay made it clear .. he does NOT think Meek lost a damn thing. As he put it, "We all rich!"
But after Drake's stop in Philly last weekend the beef's been heating up again and Ricky says if it continues, this time ... he'll be jumping in too.
Check out the clip ... he never SAYS anything about violence, but the insinuation is in the air -- and there's a subtle shot at Birdman's financial issues too.

BIRDMAN ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH LIL WAYNE: “I’MA HEAL THAT. HE’S STILL MY SON.”

birdman wayne
Birdman sat down with ESPN’s Cari Champion on her Be Honest podcast and opened up about his strained relationship with longtime artist Lil Wayne.
“I’ma heal that. He’s still my son. I don’t like how a lot of this shit went down, definitely don’t like a lot of shit he had said, but at the end of the day, I would never in my life say nothing negative about him,” he said. “I wouldn’t be a man if I can say somebody is my son and I can speak down on him. That’s not a man. I look at him as my son and I won’t finish the game without Wayne. Even if he stay with me or go do whatever he want to do. I respect him as a son. I’ma fix it. Whatever happens after that, we gon’ let it be.”

She's the female assassin hired to execute drug dealers on behalf of her government.
Her life may sound like something from a glamorous Hollywood blockbuster but in reality it's anything but.
'Maria' moves from safe house to safe house constantly fearing for her life and worried she won't be allowed to quit a brutal commission which sees her paid £330 per hit.
She is just one of those caught up in the Phillipines' brutal drug war, where controversial President Rodrigo Duterte has come chillingly good on his warning to drug dealers: "Do not destroy my country, because I will kill you."
President Duterte was elected on a promise to get tough on the country's crystal met crisis which has seen it gripped by crime and addiction.

Edmund Echukwu drowned while attending his first swingers party
An inquest into his death heard he suddenly grabbed the woman as he swam with her towards the deep end before going under the water.
The woman, referred to in court only by the name of Rachael, said that at first she thought it was just horseplay and she wriggled free.
The court heard there was some doubt as to whether Mr Echukwu - a Nigerian-born social worker from Edgware, Middlesex, could swim or not.
Rachael - who obtained a High Court Order this week stopping any information appearing which might lead to her identification - told the inquest: "I don't think I even knew his name. I don't remember it. He was really polite. He didn't talk on the dance floor and I don't remember him being drunk.
