Prime Minister of Cambodia fined by state traffic regulators for not wearing a helmet while having a ride on a motorcycle


The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, has been fined by the traffic police for not wearing a helmet during a motorbike ride even after apologizing publicly for the mistake. He is pictured above with the motorcycle rider.

The fine worth 15,000 riel, approximately $3.75 was issued in a traffic ticket to the rider as well for violating article 6 of the traffic law.

The Prime Minister has accepted to pay his own fine and that of the motorbike owner. He further added that the parliamentary immunity does not pardon political office holders from breaking traffic laws.
"I appreciate Koh Kong province's Sre Ampel district police who enforce the law without discrimination and without fear of the powerful people including the prime minister," he said
Hun Sen rode the motorbike with the motorbike's owner for fun for about 250 meters without wearing a helmet.

A marathon runner who was almost killed by a bear shares details of her survival


Karen Williams was running a marathon in New Mexico when she was attacked by a bear just a few miles from the finish line. After the athlete sprinted past one of the bear’s cubs she got viciously attacked by the animal that tried to kill her. Luckily Karen outsmarted the bear by pretending to be dead. She has since revealed details of her attack and how she survived in a post on Facebook. See the post after the cut.

Woman allegedly inflicts deep cut on her teen son’s head for refusing to wash plates (photo)


A woman named Mojisola Jaqueen Ajenifuja has allegedly inflicted deep cut on her 15 year old son, Abdulgafar Ajenifuja's head, following his refusal to wash plates. The boy was said to have fled their Ikorodu, Lagos residence, after the incident, appealing to the public to save him and his siblings from their mother who he termed 'violent'.

According to Twitter user, @Arican88, who spoke to the boy, the woman used her high- heeled shoe to inflict a deep cut on his head on Friday and the boy revealed that it's the same situation his siblings have found themselves in. See the graphic photo after the cut...

Alleged N42b fraud: Ex-Customs chief Dikko in hospital

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is watching over a former Comptroller-General of Nigerian Customs Service(NCS), Abdullahi Inde  Dikko in a hospital in Abuja.
Dikko, who is being investigated over alleged N42billion fraud, has been in hospital since he surrendered to the EFCC for interrogation  last  Thursday.
A top source in the anti- graft commission, who spoke in confidence, said: “When Dikko reported at the EFCC, he was looking pale. It was obvious that his health was in bad shape.
“We interacted with him and relocated him to a hospital for treatment. From the first day, we allowed him to stay in hospital. Our operatives are only watching over him at the hospital.
“We need to set the records straight. He was never at any time detained in EFCC’s custody because of his frail health. But we are monitoring him in a hospital.”

Man dies in cinema while watching The Conjuring 2 and his body goes missing


A 65-year-old Indian man, Andhra Pradesh, died in a movie theatre last week while watching a screening of The Conjuring 2. The incident occurred at the Sri Balasubramaniar Cinema in Tiruvannamalai, a town in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Pradesh, had complained of chest pains while watching the film, and fainted shortly afterwards.

He was rushed to a nearby Old Government Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Medics ordered his body to be sent to the Tiruvannamalai Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem but, according to the Times of India, his body, and the person charged with taking the body there, have both gone missing.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the new NBA champions. This is the first championship for the city of Cleveland in 52 years. The last time they won was in 1964. LeBron James who returned to the Cavaliers 2 years ago struggled to sum up what might be his sweetest championship yet, the one he is so proudly taking home to his native northeast Ohio just as he promised to do when he returned to the Cavaliers.
