A Tesla owner made a scary claim on Saturday: His Model X vehicle had suddenly accelerated into a wall by itself while parking, injuring his wife (who was driving) and narrowly missing bystanders.
"Our 5 day old Tesla X today while entering a parking stall suddenly and unexpectedly accelerated at high speed on its own climbing over 39 feet of planters and crashing into a building," the owner, Puzant Ozbag, wrote on the Tesla Motors forums. "The acceleration was uncontrollable, seemed maximum and the car only stopped because it hit the building and caused massive damage to the building."

Vladimir Putin sends attack submarine into English Channel
Vladimir Putin's new Stary Oskol submarine (pictured left), which is laden with missiles and torpedos, ventured into the North Sea where it was intercepted by the anti-submarine Type 23 frigate HMS Kent (right) on Sunday. It is believed the submarine has been tracked by the HMS Kent since Sunday after it left its home port in Severmorsk, in Murmansk Oblast, Russia, and travelled down Britain's eastern coast. It is thought the submarine, which first set sail last year and is powered with a diesel-electric engine, is heading for the Black Sea to join the rest of Russia's fleet.

'Hapless armed robbers raid McDonald's where 11 SPECIAL FORCES officers were eating'

A man who bought a McDonalds happy meal for his kid is convinced the Minion toy he received in it says 'What the f***'
The two robbers will appear in court on charges of armed robbery and violence

The officers, described as one of the most "effective anti-terror forces in Europe, if not the world", were eating Big Macs meals when the robbers burst into the restaurant firing shotguns and demanding cash

Suspected armed robbers holding up a McDonald's were foiled by 11 special forces officers who happened to be dining in the restaurant at the time.
The two alleged raiders are accused of storming the branch of the fast food chain at a shopping centre in Besançon, eastern France, firing shotguns and demanding staff hand over the €2,000 (£1,550) in the cash till.
But with almost a dozen off-duty French paramilitary officers sat among the terrified customers, the pair were soon found themselves out of their depth.
With their meals of Big Macs and fries interrupted, the members of the Groupe d’Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationalewent went beyond the call of duty to prevent the suspected robbers from making off with the money.

Has ex-Chelsea doctor walked off with £5MILLION over an insult? Jose Mourinho and Chelsea agree pay-off over claims he called Eva Carneiro a 'daughter of a whore'

Jose Mourinho and Chelsea agree estimated pay-off with Eva Carneiro
The former Chelsea manager (left) acted to silence 'scandalous' sexism allegations minutes before Dr Eva Carneiro (right) was due to go public with them. Mourinho and the West London club agreed a pay-off estimated to be worth £5million to Dr Carneiro, who claims he branded her a 'daughter of a whore' and a woman who did not understand football after she ran on to the pitch to treat an injured player. Last night Chelsea issued a grovelling apology to the 42-year-old - who had turned down the club's initial £1.2million offer - but Mourinho pointedly did not say sorry. The huge deal was struck as Dr Carneiro prepared to take the witness stand to make further explosive claims. She had threatened to expose embarrassing texts and emails about her time working for the 'Special One', now manager at Manchester United. Chelsea's lawyers had called her allegations 'scandalous, irrelevant and untrue'. But as the case was due to resume at London South Employment Tribunal in Croydon yesterday afternoon, the settlement was hammered out in a corridor.
