Chelsea & Jose Mourinho apologize and settle with Dr Eva Carneiro after she threatened to expose embarrassing texts and emails

Jose Mourinho and Chelsea football club have ended the employment tribunal case with ex-Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro, after agreeing on a settlement package with the doctor, just minutes before she was to climb the witness stand and expose embarrassing texts and emails sent by Jose Mourinho to her after alleging that Mourinho called her 'daughter of a whore' in Portuguese and also told her she should work for Chelsea Ladies FC and not the male football team.

A deal between Jose Mourinho and Dr Eva Carneiro was done in a back corridor of the court after Mourinho begged her and Chelsea then issued a statement saying it 'regretted the circumstances' which led to former club doctor leaving and 'apologises unreservedly to her and her family for the distress caused'.

The case was expected to last seven to 10 days and could have led to potentially embarrassing witness statements and documents - including texts and emails - being made public.

Little boy covered in scales must have them scraped off his body twice a day to save his life

When Evan was born his skin was so thick he couldn't open his eyes for the first two weeks. He spent two months in newborn ICU
A five-year-old boy is battling an agonising and potentially lethal condition that causes his skin to grow at ten times the normal rate.
Evan Fasciano, from Goshen, Connecticut, was born with Harlequin Ichthyosis, a genetic disorder that leaves him with scales across his entire body.
Suffering from the severest form of the disease, Evan is at constant risk of infection - requiring him to have two baths a day so his 33-year-old mother De De can scrub off the scales.
She said: 'We're very strict with Evan's skin management, so we try to keep him scale-free, and because of that his scales tend to be very thin, so they're easier to get off.
'If we didn't bathe him twice a day then the scales would get much thicker, much faster and it would be harder to get off.
Evan Fasciano, now five, was born with Harlequin Ichthyosis, a genetic disorder that leaves him with scales across his entire body. His parents try and keep him scale free to minimise his discomfort

'I am being investigated for corruption'- Goodluck Jonathan

In an interview with Bloomberg TV this morning, former President Goodluck Jonathan, said he is aware he is being investigated for corruption in Nigeria. Asked if he was aware that he is being investigated, Jonathan said
"Of course, obviously we would be investigated and I am being investigated. Yes, investigations are going on" he said
He says he wouldn't want to comment on whether the investigators would find anything incriminating.
"I wouldn't want to comment on certain things because when a government is working, it is not proper for the immediate past president to make certain statements. I would allow the government to do the work they are supposed to do. After all the investigations, the whole story would be properly chronicled"he said
