Selfies are usually harmless, but occasionally, they can be deadly. That was the case for one Washington man who decided to snap a photo of himself with a firearm in hand.

Police in Concrete, Washington, have ruled the man's death an accident after he shot and killed himself while attempting to pose for a selfie. The man's girlfriend told investigators that the couple had snapped several photos with the weapon throughout the day but that a bullet had accidentally been left in it during the incident.

As strange as this tragedy may seem, it's just one of several selfie-related deaths and injuries reported so far in 2016. The causes range from Bison attacks to drowning, but all of the incidents occurred while the victims were trying to capture a particularly striking self-portrait.

It's also not the first gun death to involve a selfie. In 2013, a teenage girl in Arizona accidentally killed her brother while the two posed for photos that they planned to post on Facebook

Take a Deep Dive in This Two-Passenger Personal Sub

Billed by its Florida-based manufacturer as the world’s deepest-diving submersible with a transparent acrylic hull, the Triton Submarines Triton 6600/2 (tritonsubs.com) is designed to take its pilot and passenger 6,600 feet below the surface of the ocean. The passenger compartment remains at surface pressure regardless of the depth of the dive.

The orb-shaped hull enclosing the compartment provides an unobstructed view of the surroundings, and six standard-equipment 20,000-lumen lights illuminate the view. The sub travels at 3 knots, so it takes about an hour to reach its maximum depth, but the lithium-battery bank powering the propulsion system is good for a 10-hour dive. The sub’s starting price is $5.5 million.

$100 Million Beverly Hills Home on Billionaire’s Row Hits the Market [EXCLUSIVE]

Designer and developer Michael Palumbo has created a profusion of jaw-dropping residences, but he says his latest project—a $100 million estate that will be built in Beverly Hills, Calif.—is his greatest work yet. “I’ve been doing this for 33 years and this is probably the biggest labor of love and the best project I’ve been involved with,” says Palumbo. “It’s the pinnacle of my career.”

Inspired by a floating estate in Singapore, Palumbo envisioned a compound-style home that revolves around water. Under his guidance, plans for the grandiose residence were designed by award-winning architects Shubin + Donaldson. Blueprints for the 24,500-square-foot estate feature seven bedrooms (including a 3,100-square-foot master suite with private access to a rooftop garden); 14 bathrooms; a great room with a hidden bar; and an 18-seat dining room—all wreathed in eye-catching water features.

I haven't failed against Boko Haram- Buhari

In a fresh interview with Al Jazeerah, President Buhari says he has not failed in his war against Boko Haram despite some recorded incidents of attacks by the sect members in some parts of Nigeria
“I have not failed. When we came in Boko Haram was effectively in 14 local governments. Nigeria has 774 local governments. They hoist their flags and they said they had a certain caliphate but today they no longer to hold any local government.
They have reverted to improvised explosive devices blowing soft targets, and that will be a kind of terrorism which will be difficult to eliminate because it is technological, but they cannot hold any local government again. They are using technology but they cannot carry out organised attacks, overrun police post, attack military installations, they cannot do that now.”he said
