Teen accused of impersonating doctor, stealing from patient

Malachi Love-Robinson had all the trappings of a medical practice — an office, a lab coat and stethoscope. What he didn't have, authorities say, was a medical license — few 18 year olds do. Now the Florida teen is charged with practicing medicine without a license and theft after he allegedly performed an exam on an undercover agent and took almost $3,500 from an 86-year-old woman seeking treatment for stomach pain.
He's also accused of stealing three checks from her that he cashed for almost $2,800.
Love-Robinson was released on $21,000 bail on Wednesday, one day after his arrest.
"Those are just allegations," he told The Associated Press in a brief phone interview. He said he planned to hold a news conference Wednesday evening to discuss the charges.
According to Palm Beach County sheriff's reports, an undercover agent went to Love-Robinson's office, The New Birth New Life Medical Center, on Tuesday. He was wearing a white lab coat with a stethoscope draped over his neck.

Are these 180 women victims of the killer nicknamed the Grim Sleeper?

Lonnie David Franklin Jr. was arrested on suspicion of carrying out the "Grim Sleeper" serial killings over the past 25 years and appeared in court on 10 counts of murder and one count of attempted murder
On trial: Ex-police mechanic Lonnie D Franklin Jr, 63
With a gunshot wound in her chest, the naked body of 18-year-old Alicia “Monique” Alexander was found under a mattress in a south Los Angeles alley.
In the weeks after the teenager’s murder on September 11, 1988, her father Porter hit out at police, accusing them of dragging their heels in the investigation of her death. His voice was not alone.
For in the three years before Alicia’s killing, seven other families had also seen their loved ones shot dead – all with chilling similarities.
At the time, police refused to link the murders publicly but locals knew they had aserial killer in their midst.
They believed that police were doing little to solve each murder and even accused them of racism. All but one of the victims were black women from poor areas and often had troubled lives.
