SSS uncovers Boko Haram cells in Abuja


Press statement from the State Security Service..
"This is to inform the general public that the Boko Haram terrorist group has continued to establish and operate sleeper cells whose (sole) mandates are to conduct surveillance and carry out subsequent attacks in the FCT. This disclosure has become necessary following the arrests of the sect’s members who migrated from various conflict theaters in the North East to the FCT in order to enable them capitalize on the excitement of the yuletide season to launch attacks in the city.
For instance, on October 29th, 2015, the duo of Muhammed Hassan Idris (a Nigerien) and Baba Abdul Maina were arrested at Panteka area of Apo, Abuja. This was followed by the arrest of Sanni Mohammed (aka Kakase) and Ahmed Umaru (aka Mallam; Mallam Hamdi Garne; Ahmed Daubi) in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Sanni, who hails from Potiskum, Yobe State, fled the area following his involvement in coordinated suicide attacks in Yobe, Plateau, Kano and Kaduna States.

NASA just released incredible new images of Pluto — the best we'll see in decades



NASA just released the first batch of the closest images of Pluto that we'll see from the New Horizons flyby in July.
These images were taken from only 10,000 miles away from Pluto and have a resolution of about 250 feet per pixel. That level of detail is enough to reveal "features less than half the size of a city block," according to NASA.
Here's what the mountain range bordering Pluto's iconic heart-shaped Sputnik Planum looks like up close. The top part of the image shows the mountains (nicknamed al-Idrisi), and the bottom shows the outer edge of the flat, heart-shaped area, Sputnik Planum:

The daughter of an evil Maoist cult boss has told how he kept her prisoner during a reign of abuse that lasted 30 years.
She was hidden from the world and routinely beaten by warped “Comrade Bala”Aravindan Balakrishnan . The 33-year-old said: “I felt like a caged bird.”
Balakrishnan, 75, of North London, was on Friday convicted of a string of charges including rape and assault.
Hidden away from the outside world, routinely beaten, abused and treated as a slave, the daughter of Balakrishnan believed death would be her only release.
And the 33-year-old has told how she was stopped from escaping the home where the Maoist cult chief kept her prisoner with threats of death squads, mind control machines and being struck by lightning.

California shooting woman who killed 14 with husband 'after pledging allegiance to ISIS

This is the woman who with her husband shot dead 14 people at a disabled centre’s Christmas party in California after reportedly pledging allegiance to the leader of ISIS before the massacre .
The FBI believes Tashfeen Malik posted a statement on Facebook using an alias before launching the sickening assault with husband Syed Rizwan Farook.
Sources close to the investigation confirmed that they had found a message of support to IS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi – but did not explain how they knew Malik, 27, had made the post.

The new Spider-Man will make a surprise arrival in 'Captain America: Civil War,' according to Robert Downey Jr.

The newest Spider-Man is getting his introduction sooner than most fans expected.
After Tom Holland was cast as the new Peter Paker for a standalone "Spider-Man" film set to debut in 2017, some folks wondered if he'd pop up in "Captain America: Civil War." After all, the film, which pits Iron Man against Captain America, features a number of superheros joining the fray and even marks the Black Panther's debut to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A thug who strangled his fiancée and then buried her alive underneath twigs and leaves has been jailed for life .
Stacey Gwilliam, 34, woke up to find herself in a shallow grave dug out by lover Keith Hughes who had left her there to die.
Painter and decorator Hughes, 39, tried to "snap" Stacey Gwilliam's neck and then hide her body under bushes as he fled the coastal path where the couple had been walking.
