Delta PDP Chairman, Youths, Beat Up Former PDP National Chairman's Wife

"I sprang up from my seat in defense and immediately, over a hundred youths gathered and started attacking me, and tore my clothes,” - Mrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali, wife of former PDP national chairman.

Decorum was said to have been thrown into the wind Friday, when the Delta State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and youths suspected to be loyal to the party chairman, allegedly in broad day light beat up and tore the clothes off the wife of the former PDP national chairman, Mrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali.
The show of shame occurred when the State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, had waited to come and perform the formal commissioning of the newly built state secretariat of the party. It was a presentation of vehicles to the 25 local government party chairmen in the state.
A SaharaReporters correspondent learned that trouble started at the state party secretariat following a heated argument between the state party chairman, and the wife of the former PDP national chairman. It was all over a seat.
In recalling her ordeal, the wife of the former PDP national chairman, Mrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali, alleged that as a Board of Trustee member of the party, she had been, on several occasions, ‘sidelined’ by the state party chairman and others.
According to Nneamaka Ali, “A PDP stakeholder meeting was held in Abuja and as a Board member member, I was deliberately not invited and just today, another stakeholder meeting was held at the state party secretariat. The same time the same thing happened, I was not informed until someone called me that since I am in town, it will be nice and wise for me to attend, and I went.
On arrival, I saw two vacant seats besides the former deputy governor, Chief Benjamin Elue, and the speaker, Mr. Peter Onwusanya. I quietly seated [myself] and immediately, to my surprise, the MC of the ceremony publicly announced that where I was seated was not meant for me,” she said.
“As that was happening, the state party chairman, Peter Nwaoboshi, was called to the scene, and walked up to me, and asked me to stand up from the seat. And before anyone could say, ‘Jack Robinson,’ he gave me several severe slaps on my face, and started fighting me, and I sprang up from my seat in defense and immediately, over a hundred youths gathered and started attacking me, and tore my clothes,” she stated angrily in recalling her ordeal.Mrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali's Torn ClothesMrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali's torn clothes
Also recalling the incident in the same vein, a former political assistant to the state governor and PDP stalwart, Mr. Okocha Victor, who corroborated Mrs. Ali’s statement, stated that what actually took place today shows that ‘the wife of the former PDP national chairman was ganged-up on,’ and made to be humiliated. He said before now, there was a congress and the party local chairman, the speaker and the state party chairman, Peter Nwaoboshi, manipulated the local government party list.  He removed the duly elected executive members after allegedly forging the party’s national legal adviser and signature.
Mrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali's torn clothesMrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali's torn clothes“She was manhandled, humiliated and pushed away. Her gold necklace and other valuables werelost in the process. Chief Solomon Obga, the speaker, former deputy governor, and others, were there but nobody could do anything. Nwaoboshi forgot so soon how he was brought from the trenches, and made what he is today by the same woman he has fought. This was the same woman who made him that he is fighting because of his tall ambition that he will never achieve,” Okocha Victor said.
“This was same Nwaoboshi who was given N60million, by the then PDP national chairman, Bamaga Turku, to dispose to the local government party chairmen, and he ‘seized the money’ till date. He has a penchant of collecting money from people, and the good people of Delta North will never have such a dubious character as a senator representing them come 2015,” Okocha Victor added with anger in his voice.
Giving his own side of the story, the state party chairman, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi, debunked the allegations of anyone, including himself, fighting the wife of the former PDP national chairman, Dr Mrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali.
According to Nwaoboshi, “She was the one who attacked me, tore my shirt, and slapped me twice. She went and sat on the chair reserved for the state deputy governor, and the security agents approached her to look for somewhere else to sit, and she ‘flared up,’ saying she is a member of Board, and who is the deputy governor. All efforts to pacify her failed, and she walked up to me and Mrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali's torn clothesMrs. Mariam Nneamaka Ali's torn clothesasked me if I knew she is a member of Board. I told her that I don’t know if she is a member of the BOT by my records. And the next thing I saw was a slap on my face, twice, and  she tore my shirt.
People were there, persons like the former deputy governor, the 25 local government party chairmen, security agents were all there, to confirm what I have just told you. Despite the provocation, I did not retaliate. Even when she slapped me twice, and tore my shirt to shreds. She could have been lynched if not for my intervention and the elders of the party,” Nwaoboshi stated.

Twin sisters who were set to train as doctors, now in Syria 'training to be killers'

16 year olds Salma (centre left) and Zahra Halane (centre right), who were among the top 20 students at their girls' school in Manchester, left their parents' home in the middle of the night and caught a flight to Turkey, before crossing the border. Police said the pair are thought to have followed their elder brother, who ditched his own 'excellent' academic career to join the ISIS terror group around a year ago. Friends said the twins had appeared to be typical teenagers, pouting for selfies & shopping at Primark - but they are now feared to be training for battle. Twin schoolgirls who followed their jihadi brother to Syria were hard-working students who hoped to train as doctors.

Sixteen-year-olds Salma and Zahra Halane, who last summer achieved 28 GCSEs between them, left their parents’ home in the middle of the night and caught a flight to Turkey, before crossing the border.

Police said the pair are thought to have followed their elder brother, who ditched his own ‘excellent’ academic career to join the ISIS terror group around a year ago.

Friends said the twins had appeared to be typical teenagers, pouting for selfies and shopping at Primark – but they are now feared to be training for battle.
Last night a rebel fighter boasted that he was teaching girls as young as 16 how to fight. Yilmaz, a Dutch national who has been in Syria for two years, told Sky News: ‘It’s extremely easy to get here. People go on holiday ... they end up in Syria.’
The twins’ parents raised the alarm last month, after finding the girls’ beds empty and their passports and clothes missing.

A former neighbour said the couple had been ‘quite strict’, and did not allow the girls to ‘mix with other children on the street’. Others recalled that the twins wore headscarves when they were as young as nine. But Rhea Headlam, who sat next to Zahra in primary school, said they were ‘just normal teenage girls’.
‘I’m really shocked – I used to bump into them at Primark,’ she added. ‘They were both really clever.’

Last summer Salma achieved 13 GCSEs – 11 of them at grades A* to C – while Zahra passed 15, of which 12 were A*-C. The results put them in the top 10 per cent of their year group at Whalley Range High School for Girls in Manchester.
They went on to study at Connell Sixth Form College, where fellow students said they hoped to follow in the footsteps of their elder sister Hafsa, 25, who is at medical school in Denmark after graduating from Manchester University.
‘The twins both have aspirations to become doctors – that is their ambition,’ said one. Another claimed it was ‘typical’ of the girls to head to Syria ‘after they had finished term’, adding: ‘They wouldn’t want to mess up their education.

‘I’m shocked they have gone. They didn’t seem to be radical or extremist in their views.’
It emerged yesterday that the girls’ devoutly Muslim Somali refugee parents and their 11 children had been moved from an estate made famous by the TV series Shameless to an upmarket suburb, after telling the council they needed more bedrooms.

They were given a six-bedroom end-terrace despite the protests of the existing tenant. Yesterday the large back and front gardens were strewn with discarded household items and children’s plastic toys.

The house's previous resident - a 40-year-old Army heroine who served in Bosnia - said last night she had been booted out of the house by Manchester City Council so the twins and their family could move in.
Former lance corporal Dawn Benjamin told The Sun she had thought the house - her childhood home - would be 'going to a good family'.
She added: 'I lost my life, memories, everything I'd grown up with, to house jihadi wannabes'.
Ms Benjamin and her young son had to move out after they were served with a court order. The council confirmed the house had been needed for a larger family.

Neighbours said the twins’ parents were keen to share elements of Somalian culture with them, taking round dishes of traditional delicacies for them to try. The twins’ father Ibrahim is understood to teach at a nearby mosque, where leaders this week issued a statement repudiating extremism and opposing violence of all kinds.
Mohammed Shafiq, of the Ramadan Foundation, said the family were moderate Muslims who know all about the dangers of war-torn countries. ‘They were desperately unhappy to discover [their son] had gone to Syria, and they thought they were keeping a watchful eye on their other children. Then this happens,’ he said.
Sources believe Salma and Zahra were inspired by their brother’s transformation into a jihadi fighter, and became radicalised themselves while viewing extremist Islamist material online.

According to police sources, their brother also travelled to the family’s native Somalia, where he may have linked up with another Islamist terror group al-Shabab.
A friend told The Sun the brother was known for his ability to recite long passages of the Koran.
Officers are investigating how the girls funded their own trip, over fears they have been bankrolled by jihadi fighters who want them as their wives.

Terrorist Groups In Iraq Seize Nuclear Materials From University – UN

Bone-Chilling: Terrorist Groups In Iraq Seize Nuclear Materials From University – UN
United Nation's Secretary General Ban Ki Moon
Terrorist groups in Iraq have seized nuclear materials used for scientific research at a university, the country’s U.N. ambassador told the U.N. Secretary General Tuesday.
In a letter obtained by Reuters, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Alhaki asked U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for help to ”stave off the threat of their use by terrorists in Iraq or abroad” after Mosul University, where nearly 40 kilograms of uranium compounds were kept, was targeted by insurgents.
“Terrorist groups have seized control of nuclear material at the sites that came out of the control of the state,” Alhakim wrote, according to Reuters, adding that such materials “can be used in manufacturing weapons of mass destruction.”
“These nuclear materials, despite the limited amounts mentioned, can enable terrorist groups, with the availability of the required expertise, to use it separate or in combination with other materials in its terrorist acts,” he reportedly continued.
According to Reuters, Alhakim warned that the materials could be smuggled out of Iraq.
“The Republic of Iraq is notifying the international community of these dangerous developments and asking for help and the needed support to stave off the threat of their use by terrorists in Iraq or abroad,” Alhakim wrote, according to Reuters.
The news comes as the militant Islamic State, previously called the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, continues to take control of large swaths of Iraq.
Nonetheless, a U.S. government source familiar with the matter offered Reuters some calming news, saying that since the materials seized were not believed to be enriched uranium it would be difficult to manufacture a weapon.

Mum Suffocates 11-month-old-son Then Mourns His Death On Facebook

A sick, demented, New York woman has been arrested and charged with second degree murder after police authorities say she smothered her 11-month-old son, pictured above, before posting pictures of his dead body on Facebook.

Nicole “Nikki” Kelly uploaded an image of 11-month-old Kiam Felix Jr. lying in a white suit and tie with the caption “RIP Tinkabutt,” alongside a picture of his body in a hospital bed. She also posted a rambling Facebook screed in which she admitted she failed to “protect” the boy.

Read what Kelly wrote below:

“Missing my baby boy so much wish there was some way I could bring him back to life. I feel horrible knowing he passed away. Am his Mother, I was supposed to protect him. I know his spirit will always be around me . . .”

However, what Kelly didn’t say was that, according to officials, she had killed the boy on Sunday by putting a sheet over his face as she tucked him into bed. Kelly watched the tot struggle to breathe before callously leaving him alone to die. When she came back a half-hour later, she found him blue and unresponsive, said Queens DA Richard Brown.

When the boy’s father, Kiam Felix Sr., arrived at the family’s Elmhurst home several hours later, he rushed the boy to Elmhurst Hospital. Brown said that Kelly, when cops asked why she did it, allegedly said, “I reached my breaking point, I didn’t want him anymore.”
