Most embarrassing celebrity moments of 2012

BEST OMG! MOMENTS

Celebrities may look flawless on the cover of your favorite magazine, but in real life, they're just like us. Well, minus the balance in their bank account. Celebs really are human and they, too, make mistakes. Read on as we reminisce about the top moments they'd rather we forget.

Lindsay Lohan’s, well, everything…

Unfortunately for Lindsay, it’s just about impossible to narrow down her embarrassing moments of 2012 to one. From mediocre performances to family fights, nightclub brawls, and (more) legal issues, LiLo just can’t seem to get her life back on track. We were rooting for her career comeback performance with Liz and Dick, only to watch the Lifetime biopic fall flat. Then there was the huge fight between Lindsay and mom Dina after a long night of drinking and alleged drug use in New York City. And, of course, there are her financial woes — in a matter of eight years, she has somehow managed to lose most of her $30 million fortune. The troubled starlet has even been offered an online hosting gig by Scores’ strip club in Manhattan to help pay the bills.
We keep wanting to give LiLo the benefit of the doubt, but it’s getting harder and harder to do.

Kelsey Grammer's idea of family fun

Somehow, we don’t think Kelsey Grammer will be receiving too many “Father of the Year” awards after bringing his wife and infant daughter to the Playboy Mansion for Hugh Hefner’s annual Playboy Halloween party. Grammer told E! News that he and wife Kayte brought baby Faith along for the party since Kayte is breastfeeding and they didn’t have a nanny or babysitter.
Call us crazy, but wouldn’t it have been easier to have just stayed home and handed out candy like most new parents? Or for Grammer to have gone to the party alone? Hard to imagine a raging party full of playmates is the ideal spot for breastfeeding either.

Kate Middleton’s topless photos

She’s now a mommy-to-be, but just a few months ago, Kate was the subject of a royal photo scandal. A French tabloid published photos of her sunbathing topless on a balcony during a private vacation in Provence. Well, turns out that vacay wasn’t quite as private as Kate and Wills thought, and St. James Palace is now taking legal action against the magazine. Our take? Yes, she’s a public figure and she should understand the lack of privacy that (unfortunately) comes with the territory. But, she was on a balcony on a private vacation. Here’s to hoping the paps take it easy on Kate and her baby bump in the new year.

Prince Harry's wild night

And then there’s Prince Harry — the Royal Family rebel who’s all too familiar with scandal. Though we feel sorry for Kate’s photo debacle, we don’t have as much empathy for Will’s younger brother, who basically re-created The Hangover during an August vacation in Vegas. TMZ obtained incriminating pics of Harry enjoying a naked romp around his Vegas hotel suite along with several just as naked female friends. Palace officials confirmed that Harry was indeed the naked romper. Our only advice for Harry? What happens in Vegas most definitely does not stay in Vegas when you’re a royal. Just sayin’.

Kristen Stewart caught in the act

K-Stew found herself in the middle of a live triangle (er, square) earlier this year when Us Weeklypublished photos of her cheating on boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Talk about getting into character! (In the Twilight series, Kristen’s Bella is torn between vampire Edward, played by Pattinson, and werewolf Jacob, played by Taylor Lautner). Points for Kristen for fessing up quickly following the photo leak (not that she had much of a choice, we suppose).
Lucky for K-Stew, time has a way of healing the heart, and it appears that she’ll be ringing in the new year with her hunky (and very forgiving) vampire once again.

Randy Travis' drunken arrest video

The year 2012 has been a rough year for country crooner Randy Travis. First, he was arrested for public intoxication in February and later on suspicion of DWI in August. Video footage released after the first incident quickly went viral. During the August arrest, he was reportedly naked and even threatening the lives of the arresting officers. Another incident that month involved Travis being cited for assault after an altercation in a church parking lot. Hard to imagine from the singer we know for classics such as "Forever and Ever, Amen." Apparently, Travis has a decades-long history of substance abuse problems.
Thankfully, according to his lawyer, the troubled country star has “eliminated alcohol from his daily life.” Let's hope Travis can stay on the straight and narrow in 2013.

Anne Hathaway’s wardrobe malfunction

We’ve all forgotten to zip or missed a button when getting dressed. But when you’re a celebrity, what may seem like a minor inconvenience to us becomes a national headline. That’s exactly what happened to actress Anne Hathaway when she arrived at the Les Misérables premiere earlier this month. As she exited the car in a high-cut, revealing black dress sans panties, photographers snapped away, leaving nothing to the imagination, ahem, down there. Which begs the question — why wasn’t she wearing any undies? We’re all for no panty lines, but there are plenty of helpful undergarments that can accomplish that very goal while keeping your private parts, well, private.

Amanda Bynes' strange behavior

Embarrassing moments happen to the best of us. But for actress Amanda Bynes, they seem to be more of a regular occurrence lately. In fact, during September, the former Nickelodeon star was apparently kicked out of her spin class for disrupting the group with bizarre behavior, including stripping down to a strapless bra and reapplying makeup. During that same week, Bynes reportedly locked herself into a fitting room at a West Hollywood boutique before admitting she had a bathing suit on under her clothes that she had not purchased. Then there’s the rumored November naked tanning salon jaunt, where Bynes was said to have been acting strangely (as if being naked in public isn’t bizarre enough).
Bynes’ erratic behavior, along with a slew of legal troubles, combine to make 2012 a year we’re sure she can’t wait to forget.

Michael Douglas' son reportedly beaten in prison

HE SUFFERED A BROKEN FEMUR, FINGERS

The 34-year-old son of actor Michael Douglas was sent to prison in 2010 on drug charges and recently broke some bones in a handball game. But sources are saying it was more than that.
Cameron michael douglas
It sounds like the plot to a movie his father Michael Douglas might have starred in but, forCameron Douglas, it’s real life. The 34-year-old was reportedly beaten in a prison in Pennsylvania, where he is serving time for selling drugs.
"Cameron Douglas, 34, suffered the injuries — including a broken femur — after a New York City crime boss put a $100 bounty on his head during the prison flag-football league season because he was a 'rat', a prison source told The New York Post," said Christie D'Zurilla with the LA Times.
The source said that Douglas later dropped out of the league, but continued to be targeted anyway. The injuries ended up happening during a game of handball.
"You don’t break a femur playing handball," the source said, according to D'Zurilla, "He’s still walking around on crutches two months later."
Douglas was sent to prison in 2010 on charges of distributing meth and possessing heroin. Because of giving up his alleged drug suppliers (which his psychiatrist later accidentally admitted in a hearing), he was given a five-year sentence instead of 10 years, The Daily Mail said. But it didn’t matter because he was later given more prison time.
"An additional 4-1/2-year term was tacked onto that last December for having drugs smuggled into the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York on his behalf," said D’Zurilla. "Though serving time at a federal prison in Loretto, Pa., Douglas was in New York to testify against a former supplier."
Michael Douglas spoke out about his son at the time of his sentencing in 2010, saying the prison sentence could be a "blessing in disguise," said The Daily Mail. "He assumed blame for 'being a bad father' but said that without prison intervention, Cameron 'was going to be dead or somebody was gonna kill him. I think he has a chance to start a new life, and he knows that.

Angry Nigerian Housewife In New Jersey Calls In Fake Bomb Threat To Stop Husband’s Christmas Trip To Nigeria

By SaharaReporters, New York
A New Jersey housewife put her husband’s solo Paris-Lagos trip on ice when she had police nab him at the airport on a false bomb report according to an exclusive report by New York Post.
Eunice Ukaegbu, 50, told police that her hubby, Okieze Ukaegbu, 58, might “blow up” the Paris-bound Delta Air Lines flight out of Newark, New Jersey. He had been “acting distant” and then wouldn’t let her peek in his suitcase, she confessed.
That was enough to light the fire of a woman scorned and set off the chase.
Police first arrived at the couple’s Union, NJ,home to question Eunice. Federal agents, who feared her husband may be a terrorist, were in tow.
The couple’s daughter overheard the ordeal, then called her father on his cellphone to tip him off that cops would be meeting him at the airport with an order to arrest.
Okieze arrived at the airport in a black Lexus and wearing tan pants.
“I went through his suitcase — and I panicked,” Eunice told the credulous cops. “I did what an honest citizen would do,” she sniffed.
Port Authority police and other law-enforcement agencies also rushed to find Okieze, who was stopping off in Paris before connecting to Lagos, Nigeria. Okieze stayed told cops that his wife “had an alcohol problem” and was lying, authorities said.
Okieze, who had already passed security, was taken into custody at Gate B45 at around 12:15 p.m., authorities said. His luggage was removed from the aircraft, and searched by bomb-sniffing dogs. He was taken away for questioning and missed his flight. He has reportedly been released from custody and police said they now plan to charge his wife.
Okieze continued his trip on a different flight and could not be reached for comment.

Two Nigerians fraudsters caged

Two Nigerians who hacked into the electronic systems of Continental African Trading Agency Limited (CATAL) and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have been remanded into police custody by an Accra Circuit Court.
Peter Okechukwu Onyema, 32, and Emmanuel Ifedi, 31, were charged with “unauthorized access or interception of electronic record without authority”.
They are due to reappear before the court today, Monday, December 17, 2012.
The Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department, COP Prosper Agblor, told DAILY GUIDE the two accused persons hacked into the electroniccommunication between the aforementioned entities and managed to have some $13,978, meant for payment to CATAL, for supplies ordered by GAF for its peacekeepers, transferred into a private account owned by Okechukwu.
A representative of CATAL, an international organization which is into homeappliance supply to Ghanaian peacekeeping troops on various missions across the world, reported the incident to the Documentation and Visa Fraud Section (DVS) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters.
Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of the two Nigerians based in Accra.
COP Agblor said recently CATAL was contracted by UNIFIL GHANBATT 76 for the supply of home appliances to its peacekeeping troops in Lebanon.
The two organizations had been corresponding via the internet over the order.
However, unknown to them, their e-mail accounts had been hacked by Ifedi and Okechukwu who intercepted all corresponding e-mails from both ends and replied
them as if they were the rightful receivers of the e-mails. The two used the identity of CATAL and sent an e-mail to the military instructing them to pay a cash amount of $13,978 into an account at one of the banks in the country, as cost of the said supplies.
The military did just that by transferring the amount into the said account.
Luck however eluded the two when both entities soon realized the hack and lodged a complaint with the police.
Quickly the activities of the two were placed under surveillance.
Peter Okechukwu Onyema, who owned the said account, was arrested on Monday, November 2012, when he called at the bank to cash the money.
Upon interrogation, he mentioned Emmanuel Ifedi as the master brain behind the hacking.
The police were still investigating their activities as they feared others might have fallen prey to their nefarious operations.
The CID boss used the opportunity to advise the public to be vigilant about the e-mail addresses they corresponded with before replying such messages, as hackers mostly used very similar characters to convince recipients into believing they were corresponding with original persons they had written to.
