The octogenerian was tortured to  death by some youths in the town for alleged  possession of witch-craft power claimed to have been used to inflict her step son, Ola Adewumi, with a  strange disease.
When the matter came up for hearing yesterday before Justice Oluwatoyin Bodunde,   counsel to the defendants,  Oladele Adedeji had pleaded that the pending bail application be heard.
The  defendants to the suit are: Chief  Dayo Olatunbosun Orojo(1st  defendant), Mrs.  Adesola  Adeyemo (2nd defendant) and  Abey Feranmi (3rd defendant) They are natives of Omuo Ekiti in Ekiti East Local Government Area.

Bystanders help police lift car off mom and baby

A Colorado mother and her baby were saved by quick-thinking police officers who recruited bystanders to help lift a car off the duo after they were struck while crossing the street.
KDVR reports Kipinga Muanza Kalala was crossing the Aurora street with her three children when they were hit by a car. Kalala and her 2-year-old daughter Angela were pinned under the vehicle.
Sgt. Matt Brukbacher told KDVR he knew when he arrived on the scene he had to act fast to save the mother and daughter's lives.
“I figured if we didn’t get the car off of them immediately there would be some issues with breathing and I don’t know if they would have survived, so I kind of hollered at some of the folks from around and I said, ‘Hey, let’s get this car up,’” he said.
Several bystanders jumped in to help lift the car, including Jeff Simpson and his 16-year-old step-daughters.
“(Brukbacher) counted to three and we just got the car right up off of her,” Simpson told KDVR.
“We lifted that like it was nothing,” Brukbacher told the station. “I mean it went up almost all the way up.”
Both Kalala and her daughter are expected to recover. Kalala was severely injured with head wounds and several broken bones, and Angela suffered burns, severe lacerations and abrasions. The woman’s two other children were not hurt.
The driver of the car is not expected to face any charges, as police say the woman and her children were crossing the street where there was no crosswalk.

Suspected Terrorists Hurl Explosives At Fully Loaded Luxury Bus In Kano

The ancient city of Kano yesterday evening witnessed another bomb attack with an unspecified number of persons and passengers injured.
Although details of the blast are sketchy as at press time but we gathered that the incident occurred after two unidentified young men hurled two improvised explosive devices at a luxury bus that was travelling out of the state.
The blast which occurred around the popular Zaria Roadabout by Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano area, saw a luxury vehicle that had come off the round about and was on the Express road driving out of the state, being the target of attack.
The suspects escaped thereafter before the security could take over the scene of the attack. The blast subsequently resulted into a traffic gridlock on the Expressway as the officers of the Joint Security Task Force (JTF) in the state cordoned off the road thereby diverting traffic to nearby roads.
Efforts to reach the spokesman of the Joint Security Task Force, Lt. Ikedeche Iweha and the spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force, ASP Magaji Majiya for comments were unsuccessful.

Police Officers Caught On Tape Having Sex On Duty

Two South African cops were busted, while literally busting a nut.
The two were supposed to have been guarding a suspect that they had transported to a hospital for a check up, but opted to check each other out instead.
The two, an on-duty correctional officer and police officer decided to engage in a bonking exercise that lasted for well over 15 minutes.
Nicknamed Big*, the male correctional services, officer from Krugersdorp Prison and Nina*, a female police officer, were caught on video having sex in a hospital waiting room.
With a copy of the video in the hands of newspaper editors, this has become one of the hottest scandals in SA.

Reporting in the Sowetan Live:
The video  shows the officers having sex while in uniform. Big is seen dancing while waiting for Nina to arrive. Once she is in the room, Big grabs her and she responds affectionately. He moves his hands towards her private parts. She is all smiles.
Shortly thereafter Big, with Nina’s help, hastily takes down her tight pants and underpants. The pair then move to a nearby table where the woman, who is sporting a silver wedding ring, leans backwards.
Big swiftly unzips his brown pants before appearing to penetrate her without a condom.

In an even more shocking admission, the male officer allegedly admitted that he had recorded the session himself, to avoid any incidents where the female officer would accuse him of rape. Unwittingly, the video fell into the wrong hands and it was sent around, eventually ending up with the newspapers. The female officer had no idea she was being filmed.

Woman Claims She Was Raped By Man She Met Online

A Tennessee woman accused a lover of rape because she “did not enjoy it,” according to Newschannel5.com on Dec. 3. Lynette Lee of Clarksville originally told police she was raped by a man but recently recanted her story.
Lee met a man online and made arrangements to meet him at a hotel. Once at the hotel, her false report stated the man removed her clothes while he ignored her protests. The man was questioned by police, which he claimed they went out on a date and the sexual encounter was consensual.
During a second interview, Lee told officers she wanted to drop the case and admitted it was a lie. She told the officers at that time she lied because she “did not enjoy it and it was bad.”
Accusing a person of rape is a serious matter. This innocent person could have been found guilty and served time in prison unjustly. There are numerous rapes of both men and women and to make a mockery of the justice system belittles the victims and their families.
She was charged with filing a false report. A bond was set at $2,000.
