BREAKING NEWS: Bomb Explosion in Military Church at Jaji in Kaduna

Barely forty eight hours after the Nigeria military in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, placed a bounty of N290 million on the head of top echelon of radical Islamist sect, Boko Haram, a bomb has allegedly been detonated at a Church inside a military complex in Jaji, Kaduna State.

The explosion occurred on Sunday inside the premises of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College – Nigeria’s premier army officers’ training institution located in Jaji,  Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State

The casualty figure is yet to be ascertained.

Naked Lady Gaga discovers 35 fans hiding in her garage after she wakes up to indulge in Thanksgiving leftovers

Though most celebrities would be alarmed by the sight, the pop star managed to find humor in the dedication of her devoted fans.

Lady Gaga got more than she expected on Thanksgiving.

The “Edge of Glory” singer took to Twitter Thursday night to reveal her bizarre experience after finding 35 fans hiding out in her garage when she awoke in the middle of the night for a second helping of Turkey Day leftovers.

 

"#MONSTERFACT when gaga is asleep try to break into the garage, sing loud as possible, + ring the doorbell repeatedly #happeningnow #badkids,” GaGa recounted in a tweet to her over 31 million followers. 

 

“Thanksgiving story: woke up for leftovers in kitchen (naked) - stumbled on security camera revealing 35 monsters in my garage #why #iloveu.”

 

Though most celebrities would be alarmed by the sight of intruders, the 26-year-old pop star managed to find humor in the dedication of her devoted fans, whom she fondly calls her “little monsters.”

 

“i should be mad i guess except i tried to figure out how to slide stuffing under the door, but theres no cat-flap,” she tweeted.

 

Gaga celebrated Thanksgiving with friends and family in Peru, where she is set to perform in the country’s capital of Lima on Friday as part of her “Born This Way Ball” tour.

 

"I had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Peru this year,” she tweeted earlier in the day. “My family was able to come and was so special to share the holiday with new friends in Peru.”

Investigators are probing whether the bizarre rampage was fueled by a popular new synthetic drug called Smiles, police say.

An actor in the series “Sons of Anarchy,” who was once Katy Perry’s lover, killed his elderly landlady and dismembered her cat before plummeting off a roof to his death in Los Angeles Wednesday, sources said.

Investigators are probing whether Johnny Lewis’ bizarre rampage was fueled by a popular new synthetic drug called Smiles, police said.

Lewis, 28, whose life had been in a downward spiral since his glory days dating the buxom singer, stormed into the apartment of his 81-year-old landlady, Catherine Chabot David, about 10:40 a.m.

The unhinged actor, who played one-testicled biker-gang wanna-be “Half Sack” on “Sons of Anarchy,” smashed David’s furniture and beat and strangled her.

He then fled the killing, hopped a nearby fence and confronted one of David’s neighbors, Daniel Blackburn, and a handyman. He may have fought them off with a two-by-four and possibly a paint-roller, police said.

Police on the scene where Johnny Lewis was found dead outside a L.A. home Wednesday.

He jumped back over the fence and climbed onto the roof of the sprawling Spanish-style home where he rented a room after getting out of jail on an assault rap last week, police said. By the time cops arrived, Lewis was dead in the driveway after having either leaped or fallen from the roof.

“We still don’t have a motive, whether this was just the random act of somebody acting crazy or whether there was some type of altercation or dispute,” LAPD Commander Andrew Smith said, noting investigators will run tests to determine if Lewis was on a twisted Smiles high.

“There are several new drugs that are coming out after bath salts got outlawed,” Smith said. “We don’t have any hard evidence that he was on anything.”

Perry was devastated over his death, a source told Us Weekly.

Lewis’ acting career spanned 12 years and included a star turn in 2007’s “Aliens vs. Predator — Requiem,” as well as recurring roles on the TV series “The O.C.” and “American Dream.”

Despite his glamorous job, Lewis spent much of this year behind bars. He was convicted in August in separate crimes from earlier this year — for smashing a man in the head with a bottle in January and for a burglary in February, court records show. He got jail time for both crimes, but his sentence was reduced because of jail overcrowding and because he did court-ordered rehab.

Following his death, his father described his son as “the bright star of our lives.”

“We always looked up to him, and now I guess we’ll have to look up a little higher,” Michael Lewis, 62, said.

San Antonio teen accused of killing dad with ax reportedly laughs at his booking

The 19-year-old San Antonio man who police say fatally attacked his sleeping father with an ax, began to "smile and laugh" at his booking when he overheard why he was arrested, MySanAntonio.com reported, citing a police report.

Police say Marshall Lee Giles died of his injuries hours after the attack late Wednesday night. MySanAntonio.com reported that police arrived at the home and found the man with gruesome injuries. He suffered several large cuts on his head and his left eye hung out of the socket, the report said.

Police say Giles' son, also named Marshall Lee Giles, was found hiding in the crawlspace under his father's home in downtown San Antonio with a "hatchet with a long handle."

He asked police if the victim died, and later gave a full confession, the report said.

Television station WOAI reports the younger Giles originally was held on a $20,000 bond on an aggravated assault charge but the charge is expected to be upgraded to murder.

22-Year-Old Newspaper Vendor Clubbed To Death

A Newspaper Vendor, Monday Francis, was clubbed to death in Calabar on Thursday at a drinking joint near his house.

The deceased had gone to the local drinking parlour to take some shots of local gin (Ogogoro) but later had a disagreement with one of his neighbours whose name was given as Eno who allegedly hit him several times on the head and neck with a shovel.

One of their neighbours Godwin, said that Eno had told his younger brother, Innocent to leave the scene before clubbing the vendor to death. Late Francis poured part of his drinks on Eno before the assailant hit him with the shovel. The matter was reported at the Federal Housing Police Station.

He said that after that his brother left the drinking joint Eno was said to have pursued him with a stick and hit him several times but when the stick broke into pieces, he hurriedly went home, picked a shovel and hit Francis on the neck and head with the shovel and he immediately slumped and died.

Godwin said that it was the elder brother of the assailant, Gabriel who having seen that Francis had given up the ghost, rushed to the Federal housing Police Station to inform the police of the incident but he was detained by the police when they came and saw that Eno had disappeared to the tin air.

Speaking to Saturday Vanguard, the Grandfather of the deceased Mr. Francis Asagha Etim who is from Ikot Afagha in Oruk Anang Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom, said he was in the house when his grand son was beaten to death.

20 Ladies Slaughtered In Maiduguri For Wearing Mini Skirts

Barely 24 hours after over ten people were slaughtered in Maiduguri, twenty ladies who were mini skirts and trousers were Friday slaughtered in their separate homes in Maiduguri Metropolis by yet to be identified gunmen.

This ugly development is one of its kind, as many believed that most of the daily killings in Borno are only targeted at men and security agencies.

The slaughtering of about twenty different ladies Vanguard gathered took place in the early hours of Friday precisely at about 1 to 2am when most of residents were still asleep in their houses due to Curfew imposed on the state in the past five months.
