Incredible transformation of the Chinese mother left horrifically disfigured by 70 tumours

Li Hongfang, 40, was shunned in public for years after rare type of bone cancer caused tissue to grow under skin
A poor Chinese mother who was left horrifically disfigured by 70 large tumours growing on her face can smile once again after a hospital carried out the transforming surgery for free.
She was forced to endure the condition, known as Chordoma, for more than a decade because she had no money to pay for the surgery.
But after her plight touched hearts around the world, shaming the country's ailing health service on a global stage, a hospital in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, offered to carry out the surgery, which normally costs £60,000, for free.

I was so moved by the generosity of the doctors and surgeons that carried out the operation on the beautiful lady. I am so happy that she can smile again. more photos of the surgery and transformation after the cut...

BREAKING NEWS: Paris Jackson -- My Uncle Randy Is a BIG, FAT LIAR

Michael Jackson's only daughter is going to war with one of her famous uncles ... claiming Randy Jackson is spreading dangerous lies about the family ... and she's calling him out in public. It's all over a letter that supposedly "leaked" to the Internet this week ... in which Randy, along with Jermaine, Janet, Tito and Rebbie demand John Branca and John McClain resign from their positions as the executors of the Michael Jackson Estate, effective immediately. In the sharply-pointed letter, the family claims Branca and McClain have "failed" in their duties ... taken advantage of the family ... and have stressed out Katherine Jackson so much, that she recently suffered a "mini-stroke."Randy went to Twitter and verified the authenticity of the letter Tuesday night ... but the very next day, Paris called BS on her uncle. In fact, the 14-year-old went to her own Twitter page ... and wrote, "i am going to clarify right now that what has been said about my grandmother is a rumor and nothing has happened , she is completely fine."She added, "i'd like to know who made up the rumor… i will defend my beloved family member with all i have , even if it means from other family members.”Minutes later, Paris sent a new message directed to Randy -- which said, "@randyjackson8 hello dear FAMILY member i don't appreciate you telling everyone things that aren't true thank you very much."When one of her followers suggested Paris should have respect for Randy ... she replied, "Maybe he should have respect for his mother."Paris has since deleted the tweets.

'Dark Knight Rises' Star Tom Hardy Worried He Was 'Wrong' For Bane

Of course the premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises" marked the return of Batman to the big screen, but it also marked the return of a respectable version of Bane, his nemesis in the film. First written as a super-strong, evil genius, Bane suffered through one tragic cinematic adaptation with "Batman and Robin," but the current take on the character brings back the smarts and loses the luchador mask.
Tom Hardy, the man behind Bane's respirator in the film, did not know of other versions of the character when he heard about the part, but he quickly did some research, and then became a bit intimidated.
"When I first heard of Bane, I think, like a lot of people who aren't Batman-centric in a way, I didn't know who he was," Hardy said. "So it had to be explained who he was, and then I looked at him and I saw his luchador mask and his way-tight wrestling pants and his huge muscles. I thought, 'He must have got the wrong man, because I can't play ... I don't play that.' "
Eventually, it was Christopher Nolan's interpretation of Bane that made Hardy see through the history and look forward to the reinvention. "Chris Nolan's take on [Bane] was intrinsically lateral because he has a way of wanting and desiring to breathe a realism and a lateral thought into that which has already come through the comic book world," Hardy said. "I think largely that's going to upset some people, and there's some people that are going to really hang on to that. And I'm one of those people that really enjoys that actually, to be quite honest — carving a new way through something that's already a set piece on the planet."
Hardy's version of Bane changes a few major details about the character's background, but he hopes defenders of the original are able to see past the differences. "There's the history of him being Latino and speaking Spanish and all the stuff like that, so I went for Romani Gypsy instead of Latin, but I went lateral myself," he said. "If that upsets people ... I hope it doesn't. There were a lot of conscious choices made around him to benefit both the fans and new people."

Sofia Vergara named highest-paid TV actress

In a face-off with Kim Kardashian for the title of best-paid TV actress this year, it’s Sofia Vergara for the win.

Forbes magazine has named the “Modern Family” star and comedic fan favorite this year’s highest-paid actress on the tube, thanks to her estimated earnings of $19 million between May 2011 and May 2012.

That total bumped Kardashian into second place with her estimated wealth of $18 million earned in that same time period.

But Kardashian’s only trailing Vergara by a cool $1 million, and Forbes notes that she actually has a few things in common with the Emmy-nominated actress. They both have budget-friendly clothing lines with national retailers (Vergara’s is available at Kmart, while Kardashian’s is sold at Sears); both boast significant endorsement deals; and they’re also both celebrity magazine cover darlings.

Not far behind Kardashian is Eva Longoria, who’s made an estimated $15 million between May 2011 and May 2012. Forbes points to a high per-episode salary for the former “Desperate Housewives” actress, who has also benefited from cookbook sales, small movie roles, two fragrances, and a selection of endorsement deals of her own.

Rounding out the top five are Bethenny Frankel with $12 million, and Kim’s younger sister Khloe Kardashian Odom with $11 million, who’s tied with the No. 6 entry on Forbes’ list, Tina Fey.

To estimate the earnings for these actresses between May 2011 and 2012, Forbes calculated their upfront pay, residuals, endorsements and advertising work.
