Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald…

Production of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald started this summer and we already know quite a lot about the second Fantastic Beasts film. So, if you want to go into the film not knowing much, we suggest you look away now…
It’s called Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
Straight away the title says that Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) will be a big focus in the second film, after having been unmasked in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Clearly his capture by MACUSA won’t last for very long, and Grindelwald is still intent on exposing the wizarding community to the non-magical world.
So, what will he do next? As the title suggests, not nice things. Grindelwald escapes custody and sets about gathering followers to his cause. What many of his new devotees don’t suspect is that his true intention is to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
We know from the Harry Potter books that Grindelwald’s ascent represented a dark time for the wizarding world – much like the rise of Lord Voldemort. So, things are about to get serious.
Jude Law makes his debut as Albus Dumbledore
After being name-checked in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the future headmaster of Hogwarts makes his debut in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Today we got our first look at Jude Law in costume as Albus Dumbledore, complete with a short beard, long, grey corduroy coat and some very nicely embellished shoes. To echo the words of Kingsley Shacklebolt – you’ve got to hand it to Dumbledore: he’s got style.
Dumbledore will ask his former student Newt for his help, and the two do seem to have a history: Dumbledore argued against Newt’s expulsion from Hogwarts years earlier. And in the latest edition of the textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a new foreword from Newt says that Dumbledore was ‘more than a school teacher to me’.

Why people stay in unhappy relationships

Image result for Why people stay in unhappy relationships
People continue to stay in unsatisfying romantic relationships because they believe that leaving would be bad for their partners, a study suggests. Published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, the study explored the possibility that people deciding whether to end a relationship consider not only their own desires but also how much they think their partner wants and needs the relationship to continue.
"The more dependent people believed their partner was on the relationship, the less likely they were to initiate a breakup," said Samantha Joel, who was an assistant professor at the University of Utah in the US at the time of the research.

Virgil Abloh's men's collection and debut for Louis Vuitton now in London

Virgil Abloh Louis Vuitton

The first designs from Virgil Abloh’s debut men’s collection for Louis Vuitton -- presented for the first time in June in Paris’s Jardin du Palais-Royal -- have now landed at a pop-up store in London, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) reports.
The pop-up store -- located on Bruton Street, a stone’s throw from the British capital’s Hyde Park -- showcases a selection of pieces from the first, eagerly awaited men’s collection designed by Virgil Abloh for the French fashion house. The Louis Vuitton Instagram page shows pristine white garments as well as much more colorful creations, including lots of streetwear-inspired jackets.
At the London pop-up, several decors have been designed to present this debut men’s collection, with the Louis Vuitton monogram featured in rainbow colors and decors inspired by the musical, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."
The pop-up is open until October 25.

Gerard Butler says upcoming film Hunter Killer will revive submarine thrillers

Actor Gerard Butler says submarine thriller Hunter Killer tells a classic story, but it is very relevant. "When I first read this script a few years ago, I loved it immediately. It's a classic story with a heck of a lot of great action, a heck of an intricate plot and a whole cast of fantastic characters who are heroes from different walks of life," Butler said in a statement to IANS. "It felt like an exciting way to revive the submarine thriller for these times. And right now, this story couldn't feel more relevant," he added.

Bumblebee Prepares for a New Transformers Adventure

View image on Twitter
Paramount has released a new poster and photo from Bumblebee. The upcoming Transformers spin-off has a pretty big hill to climb, in terms of what it needs to accomplish. The previous movie in the franchise, 2017's The Last Knight, was rejected by critics and saw a lot of moviegoers abandon ship and opt not to check it out in theaters. Now, the studio has decided to scale things back and give everyone's favorite yellow Autobot a chance to shine. This new poster and the latest image continue to serve as encouragement that this may be just what the franchise needs right now.
This latest poster has a similar vibe to the previously released theatrical poster. It's very much a "girl and her car" sort of thing with some old school Amblin vibes going on. Bumblebee and Hailee Steinfeld's Charlie are overlooking a city at night from a vantage point in the mountains. It's hard not to think of E.T. just a little bit. And if you must compare a movie to something, that's not a bad place to start.
As for the new image, it's pretty charming. We see Bumblebee hanging out in a very 80s house and doing his best to politely fit in, quite literally. He's sitting on a couch but, as you can see, it's not going perfectly well. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura also had this to say about the spin-off, emphasizing that this movie is going to be much smaller in scope than the previous few Transformers movies have been.

Now showing : “A Star is Born” Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga

“A Star is Born” stars four-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper (“American Sniper,” “American Hustle,” “Silver Linings Playbook”) and multiple award-winning, Oscar-nominated music superstar Lady Gaga, in her first leading role in a major motion picture. Cooper helms the drama, marking his directorial debut.
In this new take on the tragic love story, he plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers—and falls in love with—struggling artist Ally (Gaga). She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer… until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.
The cast of “A Star is Born” also includes Andrew Dice Clay, with Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott.
In addition to playing Ally, Gaga, who earned her Oscar nod for the song “Til It Happens to You” from “The Hunting Ground,” performs original songs in the film, which she wrote with Cooper and a handful of artists, including Lukas Nelson, Jason Isbell and Mark Ronson. All the music is original and was recorded live.

‘Venom’ movie: Everything we know about it so far

You can’t keep a good character down in Hollywood — even when that character has spent most of its existence as one of Marvel Comics’ most notorious villains. The Venom movie based on the popular Spider-Man spinoff character has an action-packed new trailer showcasing the film’s wild alien effects, and now a rumor suggests that the character’s comic book roots might not be the movie’s only connection to the famous web-slinger.
Set to be directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) and hit theaters October 5, Venom will feature Mad Max: Fury Road and The Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, a journalist who becomes the host of a powerful, symbiotic alien that gives him superhuman abilities. The movie’s supporting cast members include Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson.
The rumor machine shifted into high gear in January when a Collider host reported that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man — the star of Spider-Man: Homecoming and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s youngest star — might show up in Venom.

Unnervingly lifelike robot kid will help train (and maybe traumatize) doctors

Image result for Unnervingly lifelike robot kid will help train

Let’s pretend you’re a medical student learning how to perform a certain operation. It’s late one night and you’re in the classroom all alone, trying to perfect a particularly challenging procedure on a mannequin of a young kid. You move your scalpel-wielding hand into place and … wait, that mannequin’s eyes didn’t move, did they? Of course not, you reassure yourself. Suddenly, the mannequin lurches to life, thrashing around on the gurney, its breathing rapid and scared, its eyes wide and darting.

Is this the start of some new horror movie franchise set in a haunted hospital? Nope. It’s Pediatric Hal, a creepily lifelike new robot created by the folks at medical training company Gaumard Scientific. Made to look like a 5-year-old male patient, Hal is able to answer questions, track fingers with his eyes, cry for his robot parents, urinate when scared, say “Ow!” when pricked with a needle, and mimic the symptoms of assorted medical ailments — including arrhythmia and cardiac arrest. No wonder its creators refer to it as “The World’s Most Advanced Pediatric Patient Simulator.”

The idea of the robot is to allow medical students to come to grips with everything from inserting tracheal tubes into a patient’s throat to using a defibrillator by giving them a mannequin to learn on before they move on to the real thing. However, while practicing operations is one thing, being able to perform them under pressure is quite another. That’s where the idea of Hal comes into its own, since it exhibits the behavior that surgeons may have to face when dealing with real patients later in their careers.

The Predator’ movie: Here’s everything we know so far

You just can’t keep a good trophy-hunting alien down, and now The Predator is scheduled to stalk the big screen again beginning September 14. Just a few days before the film’s premiere, a clip from the film was released that offered the best look so far at the movie’s supersized new alien.
Directed by Iron Man 3 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang filmmaker Shane Black — who also played a supporting role in the original 1987 film — The Predator
010’s Predators. Narcos and Logan actor Boyd Holbrook stars in the film, while Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, Jacob Tremblay, and Thomas Jane have supporting roles.
Here’s everything we know about The Predator so far.

HELLO, BIG GUY
Humans won’t be the only prey for the aliens in The Predator. A clip released by the studio in September (just a few days before the film’s premiere) offered the best look so far at the genetically modified, supersized hunter that will debut in the film — and will apparently hunt other Predators.

THE FINAL, BLOODY LOOK

20th Century Fox released the final, full-length trailer for The Predator in late August, and the studio went all-in on its last look at the film with the most intense, footage-filled preview so far. Along with offering an introduction to the movie’s colorful cast of human characters, the trailer also showcases the bloody beatdown the alien predators will dish out in the film — and not just to humans.
Clearly, the studio was saving the best for last when it comes to The Predator.

'The Nun' Delivers 'Conjuring' Franchise Record, $131 Million Global Debut

Warner Bros. and New Line's The Nun made good on expectations, setting a new franchise opening weekend record (both globally and domestically) and delivering the second largest September opening ever. Meanwhile, STX's release of Peppermint delivered on expectations, and Mission: Impossible - Fallout became Tom Cruise's highest grossing worldwide release of all-time, topping $725 million globally.

With an estimated $53.5 million, Warner Bros.'s release of New Line's The Nun destroyed the previous franchise opening weekend record set by the very first The Conjuring at $41.8 million. The debut is also the second largest September opening ever, topping the $48.4 million set by Hotel Transylvania 2 in 2015, while placing well behind the massive, $123.4 million opening for WB's It just last year. In fact, The Nun's $53.5 million debut is also the second largest opening ever for an R-rated horror film, again placing behind WB's It.

This is the fifth straight weekend Warner Bros. has held the #1 spot at the weekend box office, doing so with three different films (The Meg and Crazy Rich Asians). To that point, this is also the fourth straight weekend WB has held the #1 and #2 spot at the weekend box office, an achievement that hasn't happened in over 25 years.

PADUPAFRICA Mensural Hygiene FAQ #support

It’s one of those days. You are on yourperiod – and it is painful. You don’t feel like going to work, but have an important meeting you cannot miss. With a help of a few pain killers, you drag yourself out of bed and head to work. Minutes before the meeting you find out you have stained your dress. The day couldn’t get worse! Why do women have period?
Imagine a life without period - no bleeding, no pain, no sanitary napkins/tampons. Hold that thought before you get too carried away. Every month, the womb prepares for a possible pregnancy when it sheds the lining of the womb, resulting in period or menses. This usually happens once a month and a woman bleeds on an average for five days. The normal cycle varies from 21 to 35 days and the bleeding can last from two to seven days. Having an regular period indicates that a woman is ovulating every month. It is like a monthly reminder that women are capable of having a baby.

Menstruation through the ages
Menarche and menopause mark the start and the end of period in a woman’s lifetime. Through the ages, menstruation has never been discussed openly. It has been associated with witches, magic, shame and taboo. It is not surprising that even today most women in our country do not talk freely about it. In some communities in India, women are not allowed to enter religious places, cook food or participate in socio-cultural activities during period. This revolves around the myth that menstruation is impure and the body is cursed during this time. However, this is rather contradictory because a girl is
considered cursed and infertile if she does not have period. In many cultures, the onset of the first period is announced and celebrated.

Menstrual hygiene
Before sanitary pads/tampons were invented, it is believed (although this has not been proven) that the Egyptians and Greeks used papyrus and lint wrapped around a stick to use as a tampon. Over a period of time, women were known to use “rags”. The sanitary napkins were not invented until the late 19 th century and the tampon came into being only in the early 20 th century. However, many women in the developing world continue to use cloth or rags as they cannot afford menstrual hygiene products.during their period. In recent times, several NGOs have been working to spread awareness among women in rural areas.

Even in the cities and metros, access to clean toilets is a luxury. Most workplaces are not ‘period friendly’ and women find it challenging to step out of the comfort zone during this time.

have problems with your period, go visit your gynaecologist.

Menstrual abnormalities
Some women may experience variations in their cycles. Bleeding may be heavy (changing 5-6 or more fully soaked pads every day), painful or irregular. These variations may be a result of a hormone imbalance, growths (non-cancerous) in the uterus called fibroids or polyps or occasionally a sign of cancer in older women. Most commonly, heavy and prolonged period can cause a low blood count otherwise known as anaemia. This can cause tiredness, weakness and an inability to perform day to day activities optimally.
