These 5 signs mean you're far more successful than you realise

Sometimes, we might not feel super successful.
But that doesn't mean it's true.
There are a number of ways you can be successful without even realising it.

Success is tricky and hard to define because it differs from individual to individual. My mother, who never held a corporate job her whole life, achieved great success as a homemaker raising kids and creating a nurturing home environment.

Others will define it through a fat bank account, number of deals closed, books written, races won, or promotions received. Warren Buffett himself defined success by one's ability to say "no" to as many things as possible.

Your friend, boss or partner could be spying on you right now using Whatsapp

We don’t wish to alarm you, but someone could be using WhatsApp to spy on you. A new iOS app for iPhone is claiming to be able to use WhatsApp’s public online and offline status in a creepy new way. It’s called ChatWatch and aims to help people find out ‘friends, family or employees’ activity’ – even when they have hidden the ‘last seen’ function.

All you need to do is pay it $2 per week to monitor a pair of numbers and it will tell you when they are on or offline. You can pay more to snoop on up to ten people at a time. ‘Find out when they went to bed, how long they slept, even compare chat patterns between people you know, and we will tell you the probability of them talking to each other during the day, using artificial intelligence,’ the app wrote.

Nasa has once again postponed its plan to use an alien-hunting space telescope to search for traces of extraterrestrial life way out in deep space. It has announced another delay to the launch of its next-generation space telescope until at least 2020. Top officials said Tuesday that more time is needed to assemble and test the James Webb Space Telescope, which is considered a successor to the long-orbiting Hubble Space Telescope.

It’s the latest in a series of delays for the telescope, dating back a decade. More recently, Webb was supposed to fly this year, but last fall NASA pushed the launch back to 2019. ‘Simply put, we have one shot to get this right before going into space,’ explained Thomas Zurbuchen, NASA’s associate administrator of science.

China banned all mention of Kim Jong Un while he was in Beijing — so people called him 'fatty on the train' instead

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

China tried to keep Kim Jong Un's visit to Beijing a secret earlier this week.
Many people were speculating, so authorities decided to censor terms and nicknames relating to the North Korean leader.
To circumvent the ban, some internet users called Kim "fatty on the train" and "the obese patient."
As China banned all mention of Kim Jong Un on its internet during his secretive visit, people on the internet dodged the ban by calling him "fatty on the train" instead.

Former Catalan minister Clara Ponsati hands herself in to police in Scotland

Clara Ponsati

former Catalan minister facing extradition to Spain has handed herself in for arrest at a Scottish police station.

Professor Clara Ponsati, the ex-Catalan education minister, is being sought by the authorities in Madrid on charges of "violent rebellion and misappropriation of public funds" over her role in Catalonia's controversial independence referendum last year.

She refutes the charges and is set to embark on a legal fight to resist the attempts to have her returned Spain.

Her lawyer says she views the charges - which could attract a jail term of up to 30 years - as "political persecution" and believes that her human rights cannot be guaranteed in Spain.

Meet Your Interstitium, A Newfound 'Organ'

Scientists discovered the new organ, which consists of fluid-filled spaces, in the body's connective tissue, including in the skin's dermis, which is shown above as the light pink layer at the bottom of this image.

With all that's known about human anatomy, you wouldn't expect doctors to discover a new body part in this day and age. But now, researchers say they've done just that: They've found a network of fluid-filled spaces in tissue that hadn't been seen before.

These fluid-filled spaces were discovered in connective tissues all over the body, including below the skin's surface; lining the digestive tract, lungs and urinary systems; and surrounding muscles, according to a new study detailing the findings, published today (March 27) in the journal Scientific Reports.

Previously, researchers had thought these tissue layers were a dense "wall" of collagen — a strong structural protein found in connective tissue. But the new finding reveals that, rather than a "wall," this tissue is more like an "open, fluid-filled highway," said co-senior study author Dr. Neil Theise, a professor of pathology at New York University Langone School of Medicine. The tissue contains interconnected, fluid-filled spaces that are supported by a lattice of thick collagen "bundles," Theise said. [11 Body Parts Grown in the Lab]

Image result for Interstitium
The researchers said these fluid-filled spaces had been missed for decades because they don't show up on the standard microscopic slides that researchers use to peer into the cellular world. When scientists prepare tissue samples for these slides, they treat the samples with chemicals, cut them into thin slices and dye them to highlight key features. But this fixing process drains away fluid and causes the newfound fluid-filled spaces to collapse.

Rather than using such slides, the researchers discovered these fluid-filled spaces by using a new imaging technique that allows them to examine living tissues on a microscopic level.

The researchers are calling this network of fluid-filled spaces an organ — the interstitium. However, this is an unofficial distinction; for a body part to officially become an organ, a consensus would need to develop around the idea as more researchers study it, Theise told Live Science. The presence of these fluid-filled spaces should also be confirmed by other groups, he added.

Official designation aside, the findings may have implications for a variety of fields of medicine, including cancer research, Theise said. For example, the findings appear to explain why cancer tumors that invade this layer of tissue can spread to the lymph nodes. According to the researchers, this occurs because these fluid-filled spaces are a source of a fluid called lymph and drain into the lymphatic system. (Lymph is a fluid that contains infection-fighting white blood cells.)

A new organ?
The human body is about 60 percent water. About two-thirds of that water is found inside cells, but the other third is outside cells and is known as "interstitial" fluid. Although researchers already knew that there is fluid between individual cells, the idea of a larger, connected interstitium — in which there are fluid-filled spaces within tissues — had been described only vaguely in the literature, Theise said. The new study, he said, expands the concept of the interstitium by showing these structured, fluid-filled spaces within tissues, and is the first to define the interstitium as an organ in and of itself.

The new work is based on the use of a relatively new technology called a "probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy" or pCLE. This tool combines an endoscope with a laser and sensors that analyze reflected fluorescent patterns and gives researchers a microscopic view of living tissues.

Back in 2015, two of the study authors — Dr. David Carr-Locke and Dr. Petros Benias, both of whom were at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City at the time — were using this technology when they saw something unusual while examining a patient's bile duct for cancer spread. They spotted a series of interconnected cavities in the tissue layer that didn't match any known anatomy, according to the report. When a pathologist made slides out of this tissue, the cavities disappeared — a mystery that was later found to be a consequence of the slide-making process.

In the new study, the researchers first used pCLE on cancer patients who were undergoing surgery to remove the pancreas and the bile duct. The imaging technique indeed showed the fluid-filled spaces in the connective tissue. When the tissue samples were removed from the body, they were quickly frozen, which allowed the fluid-filled spaces to stay open so the researchers could see them under a microscope.

Later, the researchers saw these same fluid-filled spaces in other samples of connective tissue taken from other parts of the body, in people without cancer, Theise said. "The more tissues I saw, the more I realized it's everywhere," he said.

The researchers think that the fluid-filled spaces may act as shock absorbers to protect tissues during daily functions, the researchers said.

Theise noted that there may be quite a bit of information already known about this fluid-filled space; it's just that researchers "didn't know what they were looking at." Indeed, the researchers plan to conduct a review of the scientific literature "for all the things we know about this [body part] but didn't know we knew it," Theise said.

New Questions
The idea presented in the study appears to be "a completely new concept," said Dr. Michael Nathanson, chief of the digestive diseases section at Yale University School of Medicine, who was not involved with the study. "From the evidence they presented it's quite possible they're correct," Nathanson told Live Science.

Previously, physicians had a somewhat nebulous understanding of the interstitial space, Nathanson said. They knew it was a space with fluid found outside the cells, but no one had ever entirely explained what this means. The new study "did a nice job" of trying to define it, he said.

Image result for Interstitium

The findings are consistent with what Nathanson and colleagues observed in a study published in 2011. At that time, Nathanson and colleagues observed a network of dark fibers, but they weren't able to figure out exactly what it was. "I was pleased that they substantiated our impression that this network exists" and were able to define it, Nathanson said.

The new finding "allows us ask all kinds of questions we didn't even know to ask beforehand," Nathanson said. For example, could this area become altered in disease, or play a role in driving disease, he said.

Louis Vuitton Names Virgil Abloh as Its New Men’s Wear Designer

Luxury fashion is undergoing a major shift. Logo tees, hoodies, and other streetwear are no longer separate from high fashion—in fact, they have become some of its main ingredients.

The latest signal of this evolution comes from Louis Vuitton. The namesake fashion brand of LVMH, the world’s largest luxury house, just announced the new designer of its menswear collection: Virgil Abloh. Instead of coming from a heritage pedigree, however, the founder of fashion label Off-White is know for his affiliation with streetwear and for being Kanye West’s creative director.

It’s a historic move for other reasons, too. Abloh joins a very short list of black designers to head prestigious fashion houses, including Olivier Rousteing, who is currently at Balmain, and Ozwald Boateng, who designed Givenchy menswear from 2003 to 2007.

Louis Vuitton is by far the biggest of these brands, and its choice of Abloh also reveals how the house is planning for its future.

It only opened 48 hours ago – but somebody has already vandalised the world’s first David Bowie statue. The memorial, which was unveiled to the public on Sunday afternoon, was covered in black graffiti reading: ‘RIP DB’ and ‘Feed the homeless first’.

It was erected in Aylesbury – where Bowie made his debut as Ziggy Stardust – and paid tribute to the artist who died in January 2016. The statue was created by money raised during a fundraising campaign, launched by music promoter David Stopps, as well as a number of grants. It cost more than £100,000.

Bans on Bitcoin Advertisements and Policy Change

Bitcoin is a digital peer to peer decentralized crypto-currency

Twitter has become the latest firm to ban cryptocurrency adverts on its site in the hopes of reducing fraud.

The site follows in the footsteps of both Facebook and Google , who earlier this year banned the virtual currency adverts.

In a statement, Twitter said: “We are committed to ensuring the safety of the Twitter community.

"As such, we have added a new policy for Twitter Ads relating to cryptocurrency.”
The new policy prohibits adverts for initial currency offerings (ICOs) - a method used by some startups to raise huge amounts of money.

Fed up with Facebook? Here's how to protect your data

Is it time to delete your Facebook account?

That's the question many of its users are asking in light of revelations that data firm Cambridge Analytica accessed and improperly stored information from millions of users.

The hashtag #DeleteFacebook was trending on Twitter in wake of the news.

"If you're angry about what Facebook has done with our data then just #deletefacebook," wrote one user on Twitter. "Remember we aren't the customers we are the product."

While deleting Facebook seems like an obvious option, there are other things you can do to protect your information.

Here's everything you need to know about how to better control what's shared on Facebook:

Related: Facebook's data crisis deepens as questions mount

How to (mostly) stop Facebook from sharing your data

Deleting or deactivating Facebook isn't an option for everyone -- you may not want to give up staying in touch with family and friends or participating in support groups.

But you may be surprised how many apps like Airbnb or Venmo you've logged into through the social network over the years. Services make it easy to log in with Facebook rather than requiring a separate username and password.

This raises concern because users may not realize how much those third-party apps gain access to your personal data.

To do some spring cleaning, you'll want to visit Facebook's App page under the Settings menu to see how many apps you have connected to your account. You can select which services you want to remove at the top of the page or disable all of them via Apps, Website and Plugins > Edit.

However, you won't be able to log into apps like Instagram or Spotify using your Facebook account anymore. Instead, you'll need to sign up for the service directly with a unique log in.

Keep in mind apps you've already installed could still have your shared information even after disabling the feature. You'll have to contact the app individually and ask for your data to be removed. Facebook doesn't give instructions on how to best reach out the app.

Another thing you may not know: People on Facebook who can see your information can bring it with them when they use apps such as games. By selecting Settings > Apps > Apps Others Use, uncheck the boxes you don't want those apps to access, such as your birthday, hometown, and political views.

How to delete or deactive your Facebook

Another way to protect your personal data is to permanently delete your account.

Facebook has a dedicated page to walk you through the steps. But you won't be able to reactive your account or access any of the content or information you've shared, if you change your mind.

The process of wiping the associated data also takes a bit of time.

"It may take up to 90 days from the beginning of the deletion process to delete all of the things you've posted, like your photos, status updates or other data stored in backup systems. While we are deleting this information, it is inaccessible to other people using Facebook," the company says in its Help Center page.

It's unclear whether third-party apps will still have access to the data after your account has been permanently deleted.

Facebook users can also opt to deactivate accounts in case they want to access them again. The deactivation option can be found in the Settings menu under Manage Account > Edit.

A disabled profile scrubs names and photos from Facebook, but some information could still be seen by other users, such as in messages previously sent.

If you're afraid of losing content you've posted on Facebook over the years, such as photos or statuses, you can preserve it via Settings > General > Download a copy of your Facebook data.

WhatsApp cofounder: 'It is time' to delete Facebook

WhatsApp cofounder Brian Acton has a message for Facebook users: Delete Facebook.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Acton joined the chorus of voices calling on people to delete the social network. His advice to users to stop using the service is notable because WhatsApp is owned by Facebook.

The social network acquired his company for $19 billion in 2014.

The "delete Facebook" movement is growing due in part to a massive data scraping scandal in which data firm Cambridge Analytica harvested information on 50 million Facebook users without their knowledge.

Acton left Facebook (FB) in September of last year, and recently announced a $50 million investment in secure messaging app Signal and joined the company's foundation.

Facebook is under fire from the public and politicians in the United States and the United Kingdom over its data privacy practices. The company is taking a financial hit, too—Facebook lost $50 billion in market value this week.

Acton is one of a number of tech executives and investors calling out Facebook. On Tuesday, venture capitalist Roger McNamee, a Facebook investor and former mentor to CEO Mark Zuckerberg, said the social network is facing a crisis of public trust "that is going to destroy the company."

Deleting Facebook may not be a viable option for some, but those who want to detach themselves from the Facebook platform would need to delete apps Facebook owns, too, which include WhatsApp and Instagram. Signal is a secure alternative for people who choose to leave WhatsApp.

Nigerian musicians are visionless & deceptively uncreative we need MANDATORS ( lyrical prophets like Femi kuti, Tu Face,

What direction is our industry going our celebrities are visionless & deceptively uncreative. We need MANDATORS (prophets) not booty shaking money making musicians like davido wizkid and the raggedy rat pack

The late Lady Peggy and Victor Essiet of the  reggae band MANDATORS circa 1987. Back then NIGERIAN artists such as The black president Fela kuti, Ras Kimono, the late Reverend Sonny Okosun, Tera Kota, Peterside Otong, Andy Shurman, Orits Wiliki, Amos Macroy Jegg, Black Rice and Majek Fashek of Jahstix  Femi Kuti, Tu Face Idibia, Seun Kuti, Charlie Boy, Oritse Femi, african China, Black face .

They were patriotic and they used their music to address social issues. Their lyrics reflected political and social issues ranging from concerns about poverty, unemployment, corruption, tribalism and bad leadership.

They were not afraid to speak their minds even at risk of imprisonment, they impacted lives through their music by giving people hope.

In February 2017  Tuface was to lead nationwide demonstrations against the harsh economic crisis facing Nigerians but announced its cancellation hours before the scheduled march.

He cited “security concerns” after police warned him against going ahead with the demonstrations.

The protests, led by civil society groups and activists went on nonetheless in Lagos, Abuja and Uyo.

But before 2face came forward to lead this protest, some other Nigerian celebrities have been protesting against the deterioration in the society caused by bad governance.

From Femi Kuti to Oritsefemi and Charly Boy, below are other Nigerian celebrities protesting against the government one way or the other.

1. Charly Boy

An unashamed activist, Charly Boy has been very vocal in his fight against corruption, oppression, division and the forces that seek to undermine democracy, and against the systems that keep us in chains.

The controversial star on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, even went as far as leading protesters on the platform of "Occupy Unlimited" to the National Assembly grounding activities in Abuja.

Charly Boy led other Nigerians to protest alleged corruption in the legislature.

Charly Boy, the national coordinator of the advocacy group said the protest was born out of the will of Nigerian youths who have shown the desire to "stand up against the injustice and oppression done against them by corrupt politicians."

2. Seun Kuti

Seun Kuti is also an activist helping to push for more effective oversight.

Following in the footsteps of his father's musical activism, he plays in the same band his father once led, Egypt 80, at The Shrine.

Recall that Seun's own grandmother died when, in 1978, she was thrown from her balcony for speaking out against the government by a large group of armed men sent by the ruling military to crack down on Fela's renegade Kalakuta Republic.

But that doesn't stop him as he was once reported saying 'he isn't frightened of government retribution'.

In one of his songs "Rise," Seun implores Africans to rise up against foreign exploitation, from oil companies in Nigeria to diamond traders in The Democratic Republic of the Congo.

3. African China

Although not as vocal as he used to be (thanks to a dwindling career), this list will not be complete without mentioning him.

Recall, this star started a new school of activism in music some ten years ago with hits like 'Mr President', a conscious song that rocked the four cardinal points of Nigeria back then.

4. Femi i Kuti

Taking after his vocal father Fela Kuti, Femi is another hot activist. The four-time Grammy award nominated Afrobeat musician is anti-government.
His new album highly rated worldwide

Recently, in a poem published on his website titled, "Make we remember", the musician called out African leaders.

"na because we no won know the good leaders of Africa

na because we no won know the good people wey dey here

na because we no won know we get yeye leaders

na because we no won know poverty plenty for here"

In his songs, his tweets, at the Afrika Shrine. All the time, Femi Kuti has always been an activist even engaging the government in a brawl on social media.

Femi continuously captures the will of the people in his music.

5. Oritsefemi

Again this list would not be complete without including the corporate miscreant himself, Oritsefemi.

Remember his hits, 'Flog Politicians', 'Boyz dey Binu', Mercies of the Lord', and recent jam 'Mr gomina', all these songs were against bad governance and economic instability.

It was a hit on the streets... Back to back!

6. Blackface
Where do we even start from. With songs like 'E dey pain me 'Hard life', Blackface was and is still capturing the wills of the people.

A former member of the defunct group,Plantashun Boiz, Blackface also resorts to talking about bad governance on social media.

Blackface constantly calls against the self-serving, disconnected leaders, plaguing Nigeria since her independence.

How To Obtain And Develop Dazzling Invention Ideas

Kelly Wilson

More so due to the fact that need to create as well as create normally originates from the depths of an individual's heart and soul. Nevertheless in addition to the innovative side, a good inventor needs a little equilibrium as well as the capability to be able to mindful scale as well as court whether their creation is actually something that will eventually confirm to be helpful or it is just a wishful thinking that will never ever fly.

Which brings us to the most crucial test for any type of invention. This is an examination that virtually every creation has to pass to hope to be anywhere near sensible. It centers on the question whether it will address any type of issue sufficiently sufficient to be seen to work. It is very common to come across inventors that have created some showy device that is able to complete some task but does not really address any kind of issue or enhance the quality of life for anyone by any means. Even if you were to push such an item right into the market, t would certainly prove really difficult to sell or to discover clients for it.

It is interesting to keep in mind right here that numerous inventions have actually wound up offering an entirely various purpose than what they were planned for. Viagra one of the most popular selling drugs of the modern age was checked as a medicinal solution to a totally different human condition. Something to do with managing high blood pressure in individuals. Some sharp experts noticed it's intriguing side effect an opened a whole new market and a valuable wonder drug for the manufacturer.

This is one reason that it is important that you approach the screening stage of your models with an open mind. Potential customers and consumers also regularly pull off shocks and wind up behaving completely in different ways from what you may have anticipated.

In other words great invention ideashave often emerged out there on the market, significantly turning upside down the designated objective and use

Egyptian student, 18, beaten to death by gang of 10 women in Nottingham

Detectives investigating the death of an 18-year-old student have said there is no information to suggest the attack was motivated by hate. Mariam Moustafa was left in a coma after a street assault at about 8pm on February 20 before she was pronounced dead almost a month later.
The teenager was allegedly punched several times during a confrontation with a group of women in Parliament Street, Nottingham, before she was later taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in the city. She was then transferred to Nottingham City Hospital but died on Wednesday. The teenager got on a bus at the scene near the Victoria Centre shopping precinct but was followed by the same group, who it is claimed were then threatening and abusive towards her.

Nottinghamshire Police have said they are aware of social media posts claiming the attack was motivated by hate and are ‘keeping an open mind’. A Home Office post-mortem examination is due to take place.
A 17-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm was bailed pending further investigation following the incident. A statement from the force said: ‘We would like to reassure the community that we are treating this incident very seriously and we are working hard to establish the circumstances. ‘We are also giving support to Mariam’s family at this very difficult time.’
