Jay Z and Beyonce fans have launched a petition via Change.org for a full-length Run film.
The petition was started by Devante Jones of Lexington Park, Maryland, according to Change.org.
"After the release of Beyoncé and JAY Z's RUN trailer which was released on May 18th, 2014, millions of fans across the world became devastated after seeing 'coming never' at the end of the exciting and action packed RUN trailer. We, the BeyHive and JAY Z fans would love for our two favorite artists to actually make a full length movie based off of the trailer. Why? It would most definitely sell millions, it's also casted so perfectly (Don Cheadle, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sean Penn) and most importantly, it would make your fans happy. We love you B and Jay, you two have to make this happen. Please, the world wants the ON THE RUN movie!"
The petition has garnered 3,000 signatures at press time.
Beyonce and Jay Z act as stars in what appears to be a film trailer, which also features Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, Guillermo Diaz, Rashida and Kidada Jones. The trailer also says it was presented by Rocnation and Parkwood Entertainment and that the work is directed by Melina Matsoukas. According to the clip, producers for the project are Jonathan Lia and Inga Veronique. Executive producers are Chaka Pilgrim and Candice Ouaknine, Shawn Carter and Beyonce Knowles Carter. Dave Devlin and Paul Laufer are Run's directors of photography. The trailer says it's "coming never." View the trailer here.

Lil Boosie says coming home from prison has given him a different perspective on his career.
“I’d heard my buzz had grown, but there’s a difference between hearing it and seeing these Instagrams and Free Boosie tattoos,” Boosie says in an interview with XXL. “I feel like Tupac because when he came home, it was his time. I feel like it’s my time now.”
Recently, the rapper said his upcoming Touchdown 2 Cause Hell album is set to be the best double disc since Tupac's All Eyez On Me.
In April 2014, Boosie addressed comparisons to Tupac.
"I feel Tupac [is] Tupac and Boosie [is] Boosie," he said. "I think people do that because we both have heartfelt music that touch people heart. We both have similarities. Boosie's time in prison also served another purpose, according to the Louisiana rapper.

Fabolous Survives "Shocking" Car Accident, Shares Pictures Of Wreckage

Fabolous calls the accident "a very shocking experience." He says it may change his outlook on life.

Fabolous has survived what he calls a "very shocking" car accident in Queens, New York, according to a post the rapper has made on Instagram.
"Good Morning IG...I just survived a car accident on the Van Wyck in Queens, NY. I wanna Thank God for not only letting me walk away with a few bumps & bruises but also for letting my driver Ruben & the two truck drivers involved walk away alive also. This was my 1st time being in a car accident. It's a very shocking experience & may change my outlook on how fast things can happen & you're put into a life threatening situation. Live, Love, & Celebrate Life. #Blessed," the rapper said on the social media platform.
Beyond speaking of the damages and of the people involved, Fabolous also shared two images of the wreckage. While the rapper says two truck drivers were involved, one truck appears in the photographs, along with a Black Cadillac Escalade that appears to be the emcee's. Both vehicles appear to be damaged.

Wazobia FM Journalist Docked For Urinating In Public

54-year-old  Wazobia 95.1 FM journalist, Pius-Junior Opute a.k.a OPJ was on Tuesday charged before a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos for allegedly urinating in a drainage and resisting arrest.

The accused, who lives at 41, Adeba St, Lakowe, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, is facing a two-count charge of urinating in a drainage and resisting arrest, and was reported to have committed the offence on May 12 at about 8.00 p.m. at Marwa Bus Stop, Lekki.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Daniel Ighodalo, told the court that Opute resisted arrest and obstructed a free flow of traffic around the Lekki Toll Plaza.
Ighodalo said the offences contravened Sections 117 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011 and Chapter E5, (9e) of the Environmental Sanitation Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olaitan Ajayi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to June 18 for further hearing.

Egypt’s Mubarak jailed for embezzlement

A court in Egypt has sentenced former President Hosni Mubarak to three years in prison after finding him guilty of embezzling public funds.
His two sons, Alaa and Gamal, were also convicted and given four-year terms.
The three were also fined $3m (£1.8m) and ordered to repay the $17.6m (£10.4m) they were accused of stealing.
The 86-year-old is also on trial for abuse of power and conspiring in the killing of protesters during the 2011 uprising that forced him to resign.
He was found guilty of the charge relating to the protesters in 2012 along with his former Interior Minister, Habib al-Adly, and sentenced to life in prison.
But in January 2013 the Court of Cassation upheld an appeal by the two men against their convictions and ordered a retrial.
In August, a court ordered Mubarak’s release from prison and transfer to a military hospital in Cairo, where he is being held under house arrest.

Filipino maid in Saudi says boss's mother scalded her

Disturbing and graphic images have emerged on Facebook that appear to show a Filipino maid with burns all over her back, arms and legs after her Saudi boss's mother allegedly poured boiling water on her.

The 23-year-old woman, Pahima Alagai Palacasi, was at the home of her employer's mother on May 4 when "her sponsor's mother poured boiled water over Palacasi due to a simple misunderstanding," according to a Philippines Labor Ministry statement posted Tuesday.

While at hospital, Palacasi was able to reach a relative who lives in Riyadh who helped her sneak out of hospital. The cousin then posted graphic photos of Palacasi's wounds on Facebook, showing bright pink and white scalded skin all over her back, the backs of her arms, and parts of her leg, according to the ministry statement.

The Philippines government said it would help Palacasi file a case against her employer and has suspended the work of the Saudi recruitment agency that hired her. The English-language Saudi daily Arab News reported Wednesday that Riyadh police were conducting a joint investigation of the case.

Palacasi alleges that her employer began physically abusing her within days of her arrival, kicking and lashing her after she complained of being homesick. She also claimed her employers deprived her of food.

"[My employer's mother] asked me to throw away all the leftover food but I didn't do it so that when I got hungry I could have something to eat," Palacasi said in a cellphone video reportedly taken by her cousin and released to ABS-CBM, a CNN affiliate in the Philipines. CNN cannot independently verify the authenticity of the video.

"Please help me," Palacasi says in the video. "Help me file a case against my employer. I suffered a lot."

Palacsi is currently at an embassy shelter in Riyadh. "She is stable, in high spirits, and is relating well with fellow [Filipino workers]" according to the government statement. CNN has been unable to reach Palacasi or her cousin.

Members of the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs have disclosed that members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect were trained by Al-Qaeda.

Speaking on Wednesday, May 21 during the Committee’s Hearing on the Menace of Boko Haram tagged: ‘Boko Haram- The Growing Threat To School Girls, Nigeria And Beyond’, the Chairman of the Committee, Rep. Ed Royce said, being trained by the global terrorist sect meant greater terror for Nigerians, and greater challenges for Nigerian security forces.
The government of the United States had earlier said that Boko Haram sect, is not a branch of the global terrorist organization, Al Qaeda and it should be treated as 'its own terrorist group.'
Meanwhile, President Jonathan had during the security summit hosted by French President Francois Hollande in Paris on Saturday described the Boko Haram, as the “al Qaeda of West Africa."
The Nigerian government has been fighting tooth and nail to curb Boko Haram which has been one of its biggest challenges and so far, all efforts have proved futile.
Despite troops of Nigerian soldiers sent to the areas being terrorised by Boko Haram, they are wrecking havoc, killing innocent people and destroying properties.
They have gained global recognition and their name seems to be on everyone's lips at the moment after they abducted over 200 girls from their school in Chibok. The government is working with foreign countries to make sure the girls are released and returned safely to their homes.

MONTREAL – A father who killed his daughter by slapping her when he wasn’t satisfied with how she was doing her chores has been sentenced to a sixty-day prison term.
Moussa Sidime, 73, was emotional before the sentence was read out by a judge at the Longueuil courthouse on Wednesday morning.
The judge who heard sentencing arguments earlier this year agreed with the prosecution that a prison term would be appropriate to denounce and dissuade the way Sidime treated his 13-year-old daughter Noutene when he slapped her.
Quebec Court Judge Richard Marleau sentenced Sidime to a prison term he was likely to be able to serve on weekends. This will be followed by two years of probation.
Marleau said he allowed the 60-day sentence to be served in a discontinuous fashion because of Sidime’s age and his good reputation in his community.
Sidime already served 19 days while he was detained following his arrest in 2010.
The defence had requested a suspended sentence.

Actor Michael Jace threatened to kill his first wife over visitation rights for their son: report

Jace's penchant for violence was revealed in court records generated during a bitter divorce with his first wife, Jennifer Bitterman. On Monday, he was taken into custody after the alleged fatal shooting of his current wife, April.

“The Shield” actor Michael Jace once threatened to kill his first wife if she “went to war” over visitation rights for their son, according to reports.
Jace’s simmering penchant for violence — which exploded in deadly gunfire in Los Angeles Monday night when he allegedly shot his current wife, April — was laid out in court records generated during a bitter divorce from his first wife, Jennifer Bitterman.
But Jace’s doomed wife testified more than a decade ago that her then-fiancé was a good provider for Jordan and called Bitterman a bad mother. At the time, she relayed the boy’s chilling concerns for his mom.
“Usually at bedtime, (Jordan) prays for his mom and asks God to protect her while he’s not there with her,” she told the Los Angeles divorce court, according to the records obtained by TMZ.com.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Jace threatened to kill Bitterman if she fought for visitation rights.
April bore the brunt of Jace’s fury about 8:30 p.m. Monday. About 15 minutes after she returned home with their two sons from baseball practice, Jace allegedly shot her multiple times. They had argued over money, police said.
A friend of his ex told the court an out-of-control Jace, best known for playing a sexually conflicted cop on the long-running FX series, choked his wife and slammed her against a wall as then-6-month-old Jordan screamed in his nearby crib.
“Seeing the extent of his anger was one of the most terrifying things I have ever seen,” she said, according to court records.

“This is more than a shock,” the slain woman’s big brother, Carlo Laune, told the Daily News. “It’s out of this world.”
Laune, a 44-year-old Marine, said he had no inkling Jace and his sister were at odds.

Jace stayed on the line and was standing in the doorway when cops arrived and found his 40-year-old wife’s body sprawled in a hallway. While Jace was hauled off to jail, the couples’ two young sons — both of whom are under 10 — were turned over to their maternal grandmother.
The suspected killer was booked on suspicion of homicide and ordered held on $1 million bail. It’s not clear he’ll be able to raise the money. The Paterson, N.J.-born actor filed for bankruptcy in 2011 and listed debts of $500,000 to $1 million — most of it owed on his home in the Hyde Park section, The Associated Press reported.
Jace also owed more than $22,000 in income taxes, and still owed the state of California more than $20,000 in back taxes for 2008. As part of the bankruptcy, Jace agreed to a repayment plan, but by last November he had already fallen $2,000 behind, according to the AP.

The unprecedented judgment made in a Swiss court will also be used as leverage by Elena Rybolovelva's attorneys to take the fertilizer magnate's $88 million Central Park West apartment.

She just snared the largest divorce award in history — a whopping $4.8 billion — and now a scorned Russian divorcée is eying one of the priciest pads ever sold in New York.
Elena Rybolovleva, 47, plans to use the divorce ruling by the Swiss court to grab a hold of her now-ex-husband Dmitry Rybolovlev’s spectacular $88 million Central Park West apartment, one of her lawyers told the Daily News.
“We should be able to liquidate it” to help satisfy the judgment, David Newman said.
The megabucks judgment from the Geneva court calls for Rybolovlev to pay his ex $4,509,375,184.80 — more than half his estimated $8.8 billion fortune. That comes to about $184 million for each one of their 26 years of marriage.
The Russian — nicknamed “the fertilizer king” for how he made his fortune — also has to give her $146 million in property in Gstaad, Switzerland, and fork over alimony payments that will total $150 million, bringing her total haul to $4.8 billion.

Israel has sent two anti-terror experts to Nigeria to join the search for hundreds of schoolgirls kidnapped by extremist Islamist group Boko Haram, an Israeli security source said on Tuesday.

Couple Charged For Starving Their Infant To Death

A Barrington, Illinois couple was charged on Friday with starving their infant daughter to death. The parents, Gene Edwards and Markisha Jones, are now in jail on $250,000 bond each. Edwards and Jones called Barrington Police on January 8 after finding their seven-month-old baby Mya dead in their home. Police noticed the child looked extremely malnourished at the time, but waited until the toxicology report came back to rule a cause of death.That report came back last week, and police announced on Friday that Mya died of malnutrition from starvation. Mya’s twin sister was malnourished as well, though she is alive and now in foster care. During their investigation, Barrington police discovered Edwards and Jones kept their young daughters in a cold, unfinished basement with only a space heater to keep them warm. ‘I don’t have adopted children’ – Buhari denies rumours of his son’s arrest

News reports received yesterday alleged that an adopted son of former President Muhammadu Buhari was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on suspicion of fraud to the tune of N20 million.
However, General Buhari through his camp has stated that the reports are false as he has no adopted son.
This was contained in a statement released by the Buhari Vanguard on behalf of the General.

It is regrettable to note that after several unsuccessful attempts to smear the hard earned respect, popularity, dignity, and enviable image of Muhammadu Buhari, mischief makers have resorted to a laughable tactic of linking Muhammadu Buhari to a crime just because someone who has been alleged to have committed a crime somewhere bears the name “Buhari”.
Muhammadu Buhari is blessed with very descent and disciplined children who obviously took after their father. His children have no single record of stealing and inordinate behavior anywhere in the world. They do not seek attention, but have proven the stuff their father is made of any time their character is put to test.
However, this is understandable, since the entire attempts by mischief makers to discredit Muhammadu Buhari as an individual have failed. We frown at this poorly articulated gimmick to indirectly link Muhammadu Buhari and his family to a crime allegedly committed by someone unknown to him and his family just for the fact that the said suspect bears the name “Muhammed Buhari”.
We urge Nigerians to ignore the said report as Muhammadu Buhari and his family will continue to set the pace for others to follow in good character and conduct.
