Most embarrassing celebrity moments of 2012

BEST OMG! MOMENTS

Celebrities may look flawless on the cover of your favorite magazine, but in real life, they're just like us. Well, minus the balance in their bank account. Celebs really are human and they, too, make mistakes. Read on as we reminisce about the top moments they'd rather we forget.

Lindsay Lohan’s, well, everything…

Unfortunately for Lindsay, it’s just about impossible to narrow down her embarrassing moments of 2012 to one. From mediocre performances to family fights, nightclub brawls, and (more) legal issues, LiLo just can’t seem to get her life back on track. We were rooting for her career comeback performance with Liz and Dick, only to watch the Lifetime biopic fall flat. Then there was the huge fight between Lindsay and mom Dina after a long night of drinking and alleged drug use in New York City. And, of course, there are her financial woes — in a matter of eight years, she has somehow managed to lose most of her $30 million fortune. The troubled starlet has even been offered an online hosting gig by Scores’ strip club in Manhattan to help pay the bills.
We keep wanting to give LiLo the benefit of the doubt, but it’s getting harder and harder to do.

Kelsey Grammer's idea of family fun

Somehow, we don’t think Kelsey Grammer will be receiving too many “Father of the Year” awards after bringing his wife and infant daughter to the Playboy Mansion for Hugh Hefner’s annual Playboy Halloween party. Grammer told E! News that he and wife Kayte brought baby Faith along for the party since Kayte is breastfeeding and they didn’t have a nanny or babysitter.
Call us crazy, but wouldn’t it have been easier to have just stayed home and handed out candy like most new parents? Or for Grammer to have gone to the party alone? Hard to imagine a raging party full of playmates is the ideal spot for breastfeeding either.

Kate Middleton’s topless photos

She’s now a mommy-to-be, but just a few months ago, Kate was the subject of a royal photo scandal. A French tabloid published photos of her sunbathing topless on a balcony during a private vacation in Provence. Well, turns out that vacay wasn’t quite as private as Kate and Wills thought, and St. James Palace is now taking legal action against the magazine. Our take? Yes, she’s a public figure and she should understand the lack of privacy that (unfortunately) comes with the territory. But, she was on a balcony on a private vacation. Here’s to hoping the paps take it easy on Kate and her baby bump in the new year.

Prince Harry's wild night

And then there’s Prince Harry — the Royal Family rebel who’s all too familiar with scandal. Though we feel sorry for Kate’s photo debacle, we don’t have as much empathy for Will’s younger brother, who basically re-created The Hangover during an August vacation in Vegas. TMZ obtained incriminating pics of Harry enjoying a naked romp around his Vegas hotel suite along with several just as naked female friends. Palace officials confirmed that Harry was indeed the naked romper. Our only advice for Harry? What happens in Vegas most definitely does not stay in Vegas when you’re a royal. Just sayin’.

Kristen Stewart caught in the act

K-Stew found herself in the middle of a live triangle (er, square) earlier this year when Us Weeklypublished photos of her cheating on boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Talk about getting into character! (In the Twilight series, Kristen’s Bella is torn between vampire Edward, played by Pattinson, and werewolf Jacob, played by Taylor Lautner). Points for Kristen for fessing up quickly following the photo leak (not that she had much of a choice, we suppose).
Lucky for K-Stew, time has a way of healing the heart, and it appears that she’ll be ringing in the new year with her hunky (and very forgiving) vampire once again.

Randy Travis' drunken arrest video

The year 2012 has been a rough year for country crooner Randy Travis. First, he was arrested for public intoxication in February and later on suspicion of DWI in August. Video footage released after the first incident quickly went viral. During the August arrest, he was reportedly naked and even threatening the lives of the arresting officers. Another incident that month involved Travis being cited for assault after an altercation in a church parking lot. Hard to imagine from the singer we know for classics such as "Forever and Ever, Amen." Apparently, Travis has a decades-long history of substance abuse problems.
Thankfully, according to his lawyer, the troubled country star has “eliminated alcohol from his daily life.” Let's hope Travis can stay on the straight and narrow in 2013.

Anne Hathaway’s wardrobe malfunction

We’ve all forgotten to zip or missed a button when getting dressed. But when you’re a celebrity, what may seem like a minor inconvenience to us becomes a national headline. That’s exactly what happened to actress Anne Hathaway when she arrived at the Les Misérables premiere earlier this month. As she exited the car in a high-cut, revealing black dress sans panties, photographers snapped away, leaving nothing to the imagination, ahem, down there. Which begs the question — why wasn’t she wearing any undies? We’re all for no panty lines, but there are plenty of helpful undergarments that can accomplish that very goal while keeping your private parts, well, private.

Amanda Bynes' strange behavior

Embarrassing moments happen to the best of us. But for actress Amanda Bynes, they seem to be more of a regular occurrence lately. In fact, during September, the former Nickelodeon star was apparently kicked out of her spin class for disrupting the group with bizarre behavior, including stripping down to a strapless bra and reapplying makeup. During that same week, Bynes reportedly locked herself into a fitting room at a West Hollywood boutique before admitting she had a bathing suit on under her clothes that she had not purchased. Then there’s the rumored November naked tanning salon jaunt, where Bynes was said to have been acting strangely (as if being naked in public isn’t bizarre enough).
Bynes’ erratic behavior, along with a slew of legal troubles, combine to make 2012 a year we’re sure she can’t wait to forget.

Michael Douglas' son reportedly beaten in prison

HE SUFFERED A BROKEN FEMUR, FINGERS

The 34-year-old son of actor Michael Douglas was sent to prison in 2010 on drug charges and recently broke some bones in a handball game. But sources are saying it was more than that.
Cameron michael douglas
It sounds like the plot to a movie his father Michael Douglas might have starred in but, forCameron Douglas, it’s real life. The 34-year-old was reportedly beaten in a prison in Pennsylvania, where he is serving time for selling drugs.
"Cameron Douglas, 34, suffered the injuries — including a broken femur — after a New York City crime boss put a $100 bounty on his head during the prison flag-football league season because he was a 'rat', a prison source told The New York Post," said Christie D'Zurilla with the LA Times.
The source said that Douglas later dropped out of the league, but continued to be targeted anyway. The injuries ended up happening during a game of handball.
"You don’t break a femur playing handball," the source said, according to D'Zurilla, "He’s still walking around on crutches two months later."
Douglas was sent to prison in 2010 on charges of distributing meth and possessing heroin. Because of giving up his alleged drug suppliers (which his psychiatrist later accidentally admitted in a hearing), he was given a five-year sentence instead of 10 years, The Daily Mail said. But it didn’t matter because he was later given more prison time.
"An additional 4-1/2-year term was tacked onto that last December for having drugs smuggled into the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York on his behalf," said D’Zurilla. "Though serving time at a federal prison in Loretto, Pa., Douglas was in New York to testify against a former supplier."
Michael Douglas spoke out about his son at the time of his sentencing in 2010, saying the prison sentence could be a "blessing in disguise," said The Daily Mail. "He assumed blame for 'being a bad father' but said that without prison intervention, Cameron 'was going to be dead or somebody was gonna kill him. I think he has a chance to start a new life, and he knows that.

Angry Nigerian Housewife In New Jersey Calls In Fake Bomb Threat To Stop Husband’s Christmas Trip To Nigeria

Okezie and Eunice Ukaegbu
By SaharaReporters, New York
A New Jersey housewife put her husband’s solo Paris-Lagos trip on ice when she had police nab him at the airport on a false bomb report according to an exclusive report by New York Post.
Eunice Ukaegbu, 50, told police that her hubby, Okieze Ukaegbu, 58, might “blow up” the Paris-bound Delta Air Lines flight out of Newark, New Jersey. He had been “acting distant” and then wouldn’t let her peek in his suitcase, she confessed.
That was enough to light the fire of a woman scorned and set off the chase.
Police first arrived at the couple’s Union, NJ,home to question Eunice. Federal agents, who feared her husband may be a terrorist, were in tow.
The couple’s daughter overheard the ordeal, then called her father on his cellphone to tip him off that cops would be meeting him at the airport with an order to arrest.
Okieze arrived at the airport in a black Lexus and wearing tan pants.
“I went through his suitcase — and I panicked,” Eunice told the credulous cops. “I did what an honest citizen would do,” she sniffed.
Port Authority police and other law-enforcement agencies also rushed to find Okieze, who was stopping off in Paris before connecting to Lagos, Nigeria. Okieze stayed told cops that his wife “had an alcohol problem” and was lying, authorities said.
Okieze, who had already passed security, was taken into custody at Gate B45 at around 12:15 p.m., authorities said. His luggage was removed from the aircraft, and searched by bomb-sniffing dogs. He was taken away for questioning and missed his flight. He has reportedly been released from custody and police said they now plan to charge his wife.
Okieze continued his trip on a different flight and could not be reached for comment.

Two boys aged 15 and 16 docked for jointly raping minor

Mararaba (Nassarawa) – Two  aged 15 and 16 were on  before a Mararaba Upper  Court over an alleged rape of a girl, 15.
The police prosecutor, Nasir Shuaibu, told the court that when the incident happened, it was brought before the `A’ Division, Police Station in Mararaba, on Dec.11.
He said that the two accused persons, alongside three other suspects conspired and raped a 15-year–old girl in an uncompleted building which served as a hide-out for the group.
He said that the offences contravened Section 97 and Section 283 of the Penal Code.
The two accused persons pleaded not guilty to the offences against them.
The defense counsel, Charles Acholor, pleaded for bail for the accused persons, stressing that they were still presumed innocent.
Magistrate Vincent Gwahemba refused the bail for the accused persons, stating that the offence of rape was not a minor case.
He ordered that they be remanded in Keffi Prison and adjourned the case to Jan.14, 2013.

Two Nigerians fraudsters caged

Two Nigerians who hacked into the electronic systems of Continental African Trading Agency Limited (CATAL) and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have been remanded into police custody by an Accra Circuit Court.
Peter Okechukwu Onyema, 32, and Emmanuel Ifedi, 31, were charged with “unauthorized access or interception of electronic record without authority”.
They are due to reappear before the court today, Monday, December 17, 2012.
The Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department, COP Prosper Agblor, told DAILY GUIDE the two accused persons hacked into the electroniccommunication between the aforementioned entities and managed to have some $13,978, meant for payment to CATAL, for supplies ordered by GAF for its peacekeepers, transferred into a private account owned by Okechukwu.
A representative of CATAL, an international organization which is into homeappliance supply to Ghanaian peacekeeping troops on various missions across the world, reported the incident to the Documentation and Visa Fraud Section (DVS) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters.
Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of the two Nigerians based in Accra.
COP Agblor said recently CATAL was contracted by UNIFIL GHANBATT 76 for the supply of home appliances to its peacekeeping troops in Lebanon.
The two organizations had been corresponding via the internet over the order.
However, unknown to them, their e-mail accounts had been hacked by Ifedi and Okechukwu who intercepted all corresponding e-mails from both ends and replied
them as if they were the rightful receivers of the e-mails. The two used the identity of CATAL and sent an e-mail to the military instructing them to pay a cash amount of $13,978 into an account at one of the banks in the country, as cost of the said supplies.
The military did just that by transferring the amount into the said account.
Luck however eluded the two when both entities soon realized the hack and lodged a complaint with the police.
Quickly the activities of the two were placed under surveillance.
Peter Okechukwu Onyema, who owned the said account, was arrested on Monday, November 2012, when he called at the bank to cash the money.
Upon interrogation, he mentioned Emmanuel Ifedi as the master brain behind the hacking.
The police were still investigating their activities as they feared others might have fallen prey to their nefarious operations.
The CID boss used the opportunity to advise the public to be vigilant about the e-mail addresses they corresponded with before replying such messages, as hackers mostly used very similar characters to convince recipients into believing they were corresponding with original persons they had written to.

Arnold Schwarzenegger talks sex, politics and motivation

HE BELIEVES THAT SEX IS "NEVER OVER"

The actor-turned-politician released a memoir recently, but didn't share all about himself until now. He talks his life growing up, his marriage and his motivation.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Schwarzenegger has had quite the life. He came to the United States as an immigrant and worked his way up, through Hollywood and politics. He even married a Kennedy. The actor sat down with Esquire magazine recently to talk about what makes him tick.
"My father was a country police officer. All he knew was discipline, performance, and work — not wasting your time," he told the magazine. "He came from an era where everything was scarce, so everything had to be useful. That's why he was so against bodybuilding. He saw it as narcissistic. His belief was that you build your muscles by chopping wood or shoveling coal, doing something with your body that benefits someone else. But it was from him that I got my work ethic."
That work ethic even carries through to things like his New Year's resolutions. He believes that vow is something to follow through on, and that starts with the way you make that resolution.
"I would always write down my New Year's resolutions and mark them off the way I mark off sets and reps," he said. "On New Year's Eve, you can just blabber out: I want to lose twenty pounds and I'm gonna read more. But what does that mean? There's too many variables there. If you're really serious about it, then write down when you're gonna lose the twenty pounds by. Is it March 1? Is it June 1? Make a commitment."
Schwarzenegger said when he first moved to America, he knew what he wanted to achieve, saying that "It was one of my early goals to be a millionaire." But his goals grew as years went by. Once he became a millionaire, he enjoyed his American dream, even parts of it that many Americans despise.
"I always tell my accountant, If you're in doubt about taxes, pay more," he told Esquire. "No Cayman Island offshore investments. No gimmicks. I love paying my taxes!"
Schwarzenegger admitted in May 2011 that he had fathered a son with his housekeeper, and later found himself alone. But in his recent memoir, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, he admitted he was still hoping to get back together with Maria Shriver. The former California governor spoke with the magazine about what sex means to him, even at this age.
"When you get older, sex may change a bit," he said. "When you're sixty-five, it's not exactly the same as when you were twenty-five. But that doesn't mean it's over. It's never over."
But in the end, the actor sounds more like the politician he eventually became, and he wants to give advice to future politicians.
"We must teach the future leaders that political courage is not political suicide," he said in the interview. "Peace would solve a lot of problems."

“She Was Horny” – 16-Year-Old Boy Who Raped A Sleeping Mother

The pizza delivery boy accused of raping a woman who was sleeping next to her child claims his victim was “horny,” according to a confession filed for his indictment.
Cesar Lucas, the 16-year-old charged with creeping into the woman’s unlocked apartment and attacking her, also told police that the victim was drunk.
Lucas told police that after he made his delivery on Sept. 29, he went slinking around the high-rise building checking doorknobs, as police said he had months earlier when he was busted for burglary in the building.
In a two-page, barely literate, chicken-scrawl confession in which he at times refers to himself in the third person, the Bronx high school student said that he was overcome “in away he never had felted before.”
When he finally found an open apartment, he describes slithering inside and finding the woman and her 7-year-old daughter asleep in bed.
“So he approaches her with this type of feelings that he just never had felt before, which lead him to do things he would never think to do in his life,” the confession read.
“She also started to feel horny” during the attack, he claims.
The victim, in an interview with the Daily News shortly after the attack, said that he put his hand over her mouth as he sexually assaulted her.
“It took him about 30 seconds. I said, ‘Get off of me,’ and I pushed him, she told The News. “He said ‘I’m sorry,’ and ran out.”
In Lucas’s version, he writes that the two had a short chat afterward.
“So then Cesar starts having a short talk with the girl because she was completely drunk she could barely talk correctly,” according to his statement.
“I was really pretty scared because she was drunk and kind of took advantage of her,” he said.
Lucas, wearing a short-sleeved orange prison jumpsuit, nodded to his aunt as he entered the courtroom on Thursday for his arraignment on rape, endangering a minor and burglary charges.
He pleaded not guilty, but prosecutors hinted that in addition to the written confession, they have a mountain of evidence against him.
In addition to DNA evidence, fingerprints and corroborating medical records from the victim, prosecutor Shawn McMahon said that there are also extensive video and audio recordings of his confession.
The victim has filed a lawsuit against Lucas, Sal’s Pizza – the Hells Kitchen restaurant where he worked — and the management company of her doorman building.
“My client was fast asleep. My client woke up in the middle of a dead sleep,” said Marc Albert, the lawyer for the victim.
He called the content of Lucas’ confession “beyond the most asinine thing I’ve ever heard. It’s the most ludicrous and obnoxious thing that I’ve ever heard.”
Lucas’s lawyer, Gary Villanueva, said his client is “very much a 16-year-old,” but declined to comment further.

“I will kill you”: An American mother shares the gripping story of her 11-year-old mentally ill son

"Michael," the author's son
Friday’s horrific American national tragedy — the murder of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut — has ignited a new discussion on violence in America. In kitchens and coffee shops across the country, we tearfully debate the many faces of violence in America: gun culture, media violence, lack of mental health services, overt and covert wars abroad, religion, politics and the way we raise our children. Liza Long, a writer based in Boise, says it’s easy to talk about guns. But it’s time to talk about mental illness.
While every family’s story of mental illness is different, and we may never know the whole of the Lanza’s story, tales like this one need to be heard — and families who live them deserve our help.
Three days before 20 year-old Adam Lanza killed his mother, then opened fire on a classroom full of Connecticut kindergartners, my 13-year old son Michael (name changed) missed his bus because he was wearing the wrong color pants.
“I can wear these pants,” he said, his tone increasingly belligerent, the black-hole pupils of his eyes swallowing the blue irises.
“They are navy blue,” I told him. “Your school’s dress code says black or khaki pants only.”
“They told me I could wear these,” he insisted. “You’re a stupid bitch. I can wear whatever pants I want to. This is America. I have rights!”
“You can’t wear whatever pants you want to,” I said, my tone affable, reasonable. “And you definitely cannot call me a stupid bitch. You’re grounded from electronics for the rest of the day. Now get in the car, and I will take you to school.”
I live with a son who is mentally ill. I love my son. But he terrifies me.
A few weeks ago, Michael pulled a knife and threatened to kill me and then himself after I asked him to return his overdue library books. His 7 and 9 year old siblings knew the safety plan — they ran to the car and locked the doors before I even asked them to. I managed to get the knife from Michael, then methodically collected all the sharp objects in the house into a single Tupperware container that now travels with me. Through it all, he continued to scream insults at me and threaten to kill or hurt me.
That conflict ended with three burly police officers and a paramedic wrestling my son onto a gurney for an expensive ambulance ride to the local emergency room. The mental hospital didn’t have any beds that day, and Michael calmed down nicely in the ER, so they sent us home with a prescription for Zyprexa and a follow-up visit with a local pediatric psychiatrist.
We still don’t know what’s wrong with Michael. Autism spectrum, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant or Intermittent Explosive Disorder have all been tossed around at various meetings with probation officers and social workers and counselors and teachers and school administrators. He’s been on a slew of antipsychotic and mood altering pharmaceuticals, a Russian novel of behavioral plans. Nothing seems to work.
At the start of seventh grade, Michael was accepted to an accelerated program for highly gifted math and science students. His IQ is off the charts. When he’s in a good mood, he will gladly bend your ear on subjects ranging from Greek mythology to the differences between Einsteinian and Newtonian physics to Doctor Who. He’s in a good mood most of the time. But when he’s not, watch out. And it’s impossible to predict what will set him off.
Several weeks into his new junior high school, Michael began exhibiting increasingly odd and threatening behaviors at school. We decided to transfer him to the district’s most restrictive behavioral program, a contained school environment where children who can’t function in normal classrooms can access their right to free public babysitting from 7:30-1:50 Monday through Friday until they turn 18.
The morning of the pants incident, Michael continued to argue with me on the drive. He would occasionally apologize and seem remorseful. Right before we turned into his school parking lot, he said, “Look, Mom, I’m really sorry. Can I have video games back today?”
“No way,” I told him. “You cannot act the way you acted this morning and think you can get your electronic privileges back that quickly.”
His face turned cold, and his eyes were full of calculated rage. “Then I’m going to kill myself,” he said. “I’m going to jump out of this car right now and kill myself.”
That was it. After the knife incident, I told him that if he ever said those words again, I would take him straight to the mental hospital, no ifs, ands, or buts. I did not respond, except to pull the car into the opposite lane, turning left instead of right.
“Where are you taking me?” he said, suddenly worried. “Where are we going?”
“You know where we are going,” I replied.
“No! You can’t do that to me! You’re sending me to hell! You’re sending me straight to hell!”
I pulled up in front of the hospital, frantically waiving for one of the clinicians who happened to be standing outside. “Call the police,” I said. “Hurry.”
Michael was in a full-blown fit by then, screaming and hitting. I hugged him close so he couldn’t escape from the car. He bit me several times and repeatedly jabbed his elbows into my rib cage. I’m still stronger than he is, but I won’t be for much longer.
The police came quickly and carried my son screaming and kicking into the bowels of the hospital. I started to shake, and tears filled my eyes as I filled out the paperwork — “Were there any difficulties with… at what age did your child… were there any problems with.. has your child ever experienced.. does your child have…”
At least we have health insurance now. I recently accepted a position with a local college, giving up my freelance career because when you have a kid like this, you need benefits. You’ll do anything for benefits. No individual insurance plan will cover this kind of thing.
For days, my son insisted that I was lying — that I made the whole thing up so that I could get rid of him. The first day, when I called to check up on him, he said, “I hate you. And I’m going to get my revenge as soon as I get out of here.”
By day three, he was my calm, sweet boy again, all apologies and promises to get better. I’ve heard those promises for years. I don’t believe them anymore.
On the intake form, under the question, “What are your expectations for treatment?” I wrote, “I need help.”
And I do. This problem is too big for me to handle on my own. Sometimes there are no good options. So you just pray for grace and trust that in hindsight, it will all make sense.
I am sharing this story because I am Adam Lanza’s mother. I am Dylan Klebold’s and Eric Harris’s mother. I am James Holmes’s mother. I am Jared Loughner’s mother. I am Seung-Hui Cho’s mother. And these boys—and their mothers—need help. In the wake of another horrific national tragedy, it’s easy to talk about guns. But it’s time to talk about mental illness.
According to Mother Jones, since 1982, 61 mass murders involving firearms have occurred throughout the country. Of these, 43 of the killers were white males, and only one was a woman. Mother Jones focused on whether the killers obtained their guns legally (most did). But this highly visible sign of mental illness should lead us to consider how many people in the U.S. live in fear, like I do.
When I asked my son’s social worker about my options, he said that the only thing I could do was to get Michael charged with a crime. “If he’s back in the system, they’ll create a paper trail,” he said. “That’s the only way you’re ever going to get anything done. No one will pay attention to you unless you’ve got charges.”
I don’t believe my son belongs in jail. The chaotic environment exacerbates Michael’s sensitivity to sensory stimuli and doesn’t deal with the underlying pathology. But it seems like the United States is using prison as the solution of choice for mentally ill people. According to Human Rights Watch, the number of mentally ill inmates in U.S. prisons quadrupled from 2000 to 2006, and it continues to rise — in fact, the rate of inmate mental illness is five times greater (56 percent) than in the non-incarcerated population.
With state-run treatment centers and hospitals shuttered, prison is now the last resort for the mentally ill — Rikers Island, the LA County Jail and Cook County Jail in Illinois housed the nation’s largest treatment centers in 2011.
No one wants to send a 13-year old genius who loves Harry Potter and his snuggle animal collection to jail. But our society, with its stigma on mental illness and its broken healthcare system, does not provide us with other options. Then another tortured soul shoots up a fast food restaurant. A mall. A kindergarten classroom. And we wring our hands and say, “Something must be done.”
I agree that something must be done. It’s time for a meaningful, nation-wide conversation about mental health. That’s the only way our nation can ever truly heal.
God help me. God help Michael. God help us all.

Australian woman gets worker's compensation benefits for injury during sex on business trip

An Australian court has ruled that a bureaucrat who was injured while having sex on a business trip is eligible for worker's compensation benefits.
The Full Bench of the Federal Court ruled Dec. 13 in favor of the woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, and rejecting the appeal of the federal government's insurer, ending a five-year legal battle.
The woman was hospitalized after being injured in 2007 during sex with a male friend while staying in a motel in the town of Nowra, 100 miles south of her hometown of Sydney.
During the sex, a glass light fitting was torn from its mount above the bed and landed on her face, injuring her nose and mouth. She later suffered depression and was unable to continue working for the government.
Her claim for worker's compensation for her physical and psychological injuries was initially approved by government insurer Comcare, then rejected after further investigation.
An administrative tribunal agreed with Comcare that her injuries were not suffered in the course of her employment, saying the government had not induced or encouraged the woman's sexual conduct. The tribunal also found the sex was "not an ordinary incident of an overnight stay" such as showering, sleeping and eating.
That ruling was overturned in the Federal Court in 2012, when Judge John Nicholas rejected the tribunal's findings that the sex had to be condoned by the government if she were to qualify for compensation.
"If the applicant had been injured while playing a game of cards in her motel room, she would be entitled to compensation even though it could not be said that her employer induced her to engage in such activity," Nicholas wrote in his judgment in favor of the woman receiving compensation.
In the Full Bench decision upholding Nicholas' decision, Judges Patrick Keane, Robert Buchanan and Mordy Bromberg agreed last week that the government's views on the woman having sex in her motel room were irrelevant.
"No approval, express or implied, of the respondent's conduct was required," they said.
It is not yet clear how much compensation the woman will be paid.
Comcare was on Monday considering an appeal to the High Court, Australia's highest legal authority, Comcare spokesman Russ Street said.
"The issue is a significant one," Street said in a statement. "Workers need to be clear about their entitlements and employers should have an understanding of their responsibilities and how to support their staff."

Nigerian Woman Caught In Insurance Fraud After Rushing Off To Have Sex In Public

A sex romp at a public park helped prosecutors convict a California woman of faking an ankle injury to collect workers’ compensation payments, authorities said.

Modupe Adunni Martin, 29, was sentenced to nine months in jail on Thursday in San Mateo County after pleading no contest in October to felony workers compensation fraud.
Martin was caught on videotape in August 2009 throwing her crutches into a car and running in high heels to meet her boyfriend at a public park, where she took part in a sex act that doctors concluded she couldn’t have done with an injured ankle, District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
She was arrested and charged with 10 counts of insurance fraud.
“I guess love just helps one get over injuries,” Wagstaffe said in a phone interview on Friday.
Martin reported the injury in February 2009 while working as a janitor for the Sequoia Union High School District.
Claiming the injury left her unable to walk, Martin made 10 visits to doctors over a three-month span. A co-worker suspected she was exaggerating and alerted the district, which advised investigators.
Martin was taken into custody after sentencing. A call to her attorney, Emily Andrews, by The Associated Press was not immediately returned.
Martin was also sentenced to 3 years of supervised probation and ordered to pay more than $79,000 in restitution

Anne Hathaway has wardrobe malfunction at premiere (and more shockingly, how was she not FREEZING?)

Somewhere between doing her hair and working out how to fasten the world's most ridiculous shoes, Anne forgot to put any knickers on for the New York premiere of Les Miserables

There's so much stuff for Anne Hathaway to remember on a daily basis, it's entirely understandable that some things might slip her mind on occasion.
Like wearing underwear. In December.
Because while we're buying M&S day-of-the-week knickers just so that we can wear all seven pairs at once and attempt to prevent contracting hypothermia in our lower regions, Anne Hathaway appears not to feel the cold.
At the New York premiere of Les Miserables, Anne stepped out of her car and into the blustery winter night, only to be met by a flurry of snow camera flashes. Which she probably thought was just because the paparazzi liked her shoes.
We're buying Anne some undercrackers for Christmas
That's until she looked down and realised that her dress had ridden up. Meaning that she was exposing everything. To everyone.
Unfortunately, we're not allowed to show you what it looked like. Because this is a very dignified website. And that would be an undignified thing to do.

Anne was then overheard worrying about what had happened the next day when she was at lunch with a Vanity Fair reporter, and forgot to lower her voice.
"I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn’t realize it until I saw all the photographers’ flashes," she apparently explained.
"It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them."
We're not sure if Anne physically could lift her skirt up even if she wanted to. It looks very tight. Although it does appear to have a cape. Which is something we'd like more dresses to come with in the future.
