Awkward! Twitter erupts after Billy Bob Thornton squeezes past stony-faced ex Laura Dern at Golden Globes 18 years after he dumped her for Angelina Jolie

Awkward: Even Kurt Russell did not know where to look as Billy Bob Thornton squeezed past ex fiancee Laura Dern at the Golden Globes on Sunday

He famously dumped her to shack up with Angelina Jolie.
And it seems all is not forgiven going by Laura Dern's expression as ex Billy Bob Thornton squeezed past her to accept his award at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on Sunday.
Social media erupted following the awkward incident, which occurred after he won the best actor in a television series gong for his Amazon show Goliath, in which he plays an alcoholic lawyer who fights for the little guy.

Unlike the 61-year-old's jolly demanour on stage moments later, Billy bob looked distinctly stony faced as he forced his way past his former fiancee on his way to picking up his prestigious paperweight.
A fan watching the episode on Twitter mused: 'At least we got to see Laura Dern physically fight the urge to stab Billy Bob as he walked behind her.
Another said: 'I'm convinced Billy Bob Thornton walked past Laura Dern just to piss her off.'
One wit injected levity into the moment, saying, 'Why wasn't Brad Pitt,Billy Bob Thornton,Laura Dern, Vince Vaughn & Justin Theroux seated at the same table? #MissedOpportunity.'

'They are totally embarrassed!': Trump goes on hours-long tweetstorm over Russian hacking

Trump melania mar e lago

President-elect Donald Trump said Saturday that the only reason the hacking of the Democratic National Committee is discussed is because Democrats are "totally embarrassed" about their election loss, and he urged friendlier relations with Russia.
"Only reason the hacking of the poorly defended DNC is discussed is that the loss by the Dems was so big that they are totally embarrassed!" Trump said as part of a Saturday morning tweetstorm.
His comments came a day after the declassification of a US intelligence report that concluded Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, ordered a campaign to influence the US election and hurt Hillary Clinton's chances of winning.
Trump pointed to "gross negligence" by the DNC as the reason the hacking took place.
He also denied suggestions that the Russian hacking could have affected the election results, saying "there was absolutely no evidence that hacking affected the election results" because voting machines weren't "touched."
The US intelligence community's report concluded that Russia — led by Putin — developed a "clear preference for President-elect Trump. But it did not assess the impact that Russian activities had on the election outcome, as Business Insider's Pamela Engel reported.

Israel plot to 'take down' Tory minister: Astonishing undercover video captures diplomat conspiring with rival MP's aide to smear Deputy Foreign Secretary

Target: Foreign Office deputy Sir Alan Duncan

The Israeli Embassy made a shocking vow to ‘take down’ Boris Johnson’s Foreign Office deputy, a secret film reveals today.
The bombshell footage, covertly filmed in a London restaurant and obtained by The Mail on Sunday, shows a senior diplomat making the astonishing threat to target Sir Alan Duncan.
Extraordinarily, he is egged on by a senior aide to another Conservative Minister, Robert Halfon.

The video comes in a film claiming to expose the way that the Israeli government has ‘infiltrated’ both the Conservative and Labour parties via its embassy in the UK, using secret cash and covert support.
Further footage shows the Israeli diplomat, intelligence expert Shai Masot, telling senior Labour MP Joan Ryan that he has obtained ‘more than £1 million’ to pay for sympathetic Labour MPs to visit Israel.
Mr Masot also mocks ‘crazy’Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and his ‘weirdo’ supporters. Footage shows pro-Israel Labour activists discussing the Jerusalem government’s secret role in backing their activities.
Last night it emerged that Israeli ambassador Mark Regev had made a full apology to Sir Alan for Mr Masot’s ‘completely unacceptable’ comments.
And a spokesman for Boris Johnson said: ‘The Israeli ambassador has apologised and made it clear to us that these comments do not represent the views of the Israeli Embassy or government.’
The revelations follow Tory infighting over the party’s policy on the Israel-Palestine dispute, and repeated claims of anti-Semitism among Labour’s Leftwing ‘Corbynistas’.

Wike, who spoke in Ahoada East Local Government Area, during the defection of former APC Chieftain and former Ahoada East Local Government Chairman, Mr. Cassidy Ikegbidi, noted that the dismissal of the policemen was aimed at discouraging other policemen from protecting him.

He said: “They gave me policemen for my protection, but before I knew it, they have dismissed them. They think they are punishing them, but Rivers State will stand with them forever.

“By the time we finish, they will realise that they have favoured the so-called dismissed policemen. In Rivers State, we don’t abandon people. No amount of intimidation will make me abandon these innocent policemen.

Did you know that being Lazy is a sign of high Intelligence?

New research seems to prove the theory that brainy people spend more time lazing around than their active counterparts.
Findings from a US-based study seem to support the idea that people with a high IQ get bored less easily, leading them to spend more time engaged in thought.

And active people may be more physical as they need to stimulate their minds with external activities, either to escape their thoughts or because they get bored quickly. Researchers from the Florida Gulf Coast University gave a classic test – dating back three decades - to a group of students.
