Singer Sinead O'Connor attempts suicide, says 'my family betrayed me' in suicide note
Popular 90s singer Sinead O'Connor reportedly took an overdose of pills earlier today after leaving a suicide note saying her family does not care, have betrayed her so much, and blamed them for her suicide attempt. TMZ reports below...
The note, posted Sunday morning, alleges "appalling cruelty" on the part of her husband, her children and even her son's girlfriend -- and she says it all started when she had a hysterectomy in August. Sinead claims they've been keeping her babies from her, and she just couldn't take it anymore.
The 48-year-old singer wrote, "I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home. I'm at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name. I've been howling crying for weeks. And been told by them all to go f*** myself. I'm invisible. I don't matter a shred to anyone."
Sinead has four children, ranging in age from 9 to 28. She's currently married to Barry Herridge -- the therapist she married in Las Vegas after meeting on the Internet.
She has since been found safe and sound in a hotel in Dublin and she's currently getting medical attention
How Adele's record-breaking 3.38 million sales of '25' compare to Taylor Swift's '1989'
Adele's "25" has destroyed music records, and it's only been out for a week.
In its first four days, the album sold more than 2.4 million copies, becoming the highest-selling album in its debut week in the US. The previous record was held by *NSYNC's "No Strings Attached," which sold 2.4 million records during its opening week in 2000.
Now that the full week's sales have been tallied, we know Adele's "25" sold 3.38 million copies, according to Nielsen.
There is simply no comparison to be made between Adele and other contemporary music, said David Bakula, senior vice president of industry insights at Nielsen Entertainment.

The 27 jobs that are most damaging to your health
Some jobs intrinsically have more health risks than others. A nurse working in a hospital is more likely to catch an infectious disease than a lawyer working in an office, for example.
To rank the most unhealthy jobs in America, we used data from theOccupational Information Network, a US Department of Labor database full of detailed information on occupations.
In order to analyze jobs by their impact on workers' health, we took O*NET measures of six health risks in each of the 974 occupations in the database: exposure to contaminants; exposure to disease and infection; exposure to hazardous conditions; exposure to radiation; risk of minor burns, cuts, bites, and stings; and time spent sitting, since studies show that frequent inactivity shortens your lifespan. O*NET scores these factors on a scale from 0 to 100, with a higher score indicating an increased health risk.

The jealous husband of a young Russian lawmaker killed himself and his wife after detonating a hand grenade as he forced her to have sex in the backseat of their car Thursday, according to local reports.
The bodies of Oksana Bobrovsky, 30, and her husband, Nikita Bobrovsky, 28, were found half-naked inside an SUV outside an apartment building in Novosibirsk home, located 1,700 miles east of Moscow.
Novosibirsk Mayor Anatoly Lokot described the apparent murder-suicide as a “family drama,” but it’s unclear what sparked the husband’s jealousy.

A Kansas City man arrested for attacking his wife is also suspected of feeding his 7-year-old son to pigs after beating him to death.
Michael Jones, 44, was held after reports that he had assaulted his wife at their home and fired a gun at her.
But when police began investigating, they were tipped off that they should search the family’s backyard for the decomposing remains of their missing son.

Local women who knew the family said the couple had eight children, but their son had disappeared earlier this year. They also claimed Jones’ wife added livestock to the barn in September.
