The trial of the Senate President, Dr. Olubukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, sitting in Abuja,commenced on a dramatic note this morning, with the accused person, refusing to mount the dock.

THE EMPTY DOCK AS THE SENATE PRESIDENT BUKOLA SARAKI WAS ABSENT AT THE CODE OF CONDUCT TRIBUNAL WHERE IS STANDING TRIAL FOR PERJURY IN ABUJA ON MONDAY (21/9/15)

The trial tribunal, headed by Justice Danladi Umar, called up Saraki’s case at exactly 10:32am.

Following Saraki’s refusal to stand up as his case was mentioned, the tribunal Chairman, Justice Umar, demanded that he should leave his seat and enter inside the dock.

The Senate President who is currently sandwiched by his colleagues and friends inside the court, called the bluff of the tribunal by retaining his seat.

Breaking News : 50 senators’ accompany Saraki to tribunal for corruption trial

The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has arrived the courtroom of the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja to face trial over a 13-count charge of corruption levelled against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau.

Mr. Saraki arrived the tribunal premises at 9:32 a.m., accompanied by “about 50 senators and some members of the House of Representatives”, his spokesperson, Yusuph Olaniyonu, told 3m360

Mr. Olaniyonu however declined further comments, saying he was already seated in the courtroom.

A police man attached to the Maruko police station in Lekki phase 1 who goes by the name Mr Ik Okocha assaulted a woman yesterday. I witnessed the incident. The police man was smelling of alcohol and he looked and spoke like he was not in his right state of mind. The lady had an argument with a taxi driver then the police man decided to get involved. He wrestled with the girl and punched her even after his fellow police men told him to leave the girl. He was also going to get his rifle to shoot the girl, if it wasn't for the other police men who stopped him.
