It's official—Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are married! The rapper's rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly shortly after the ceremony, saying, "Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were married in a private ceremony in the presence of family and friends in Florence, Italy, today."
As expected, the couple of two years tied the knot on Saturday, May 24, in Florence, Italy, at the 16th-century Forte di Belvedere in front of their closest family members and friends, including Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, LaLa Anthony, Lorraine Schwartz, Q-Tip, and more.

The 33-year-old bride stunned during the sunset vows to her rapper beau. The 36-year-old artist made sure Kardashian had the wedding of her dreams.
A source close to West told Us Weekly the ceremony would be a "princess fairy tale for Kim," adding, "Kanye thought of every detail."

The fashionable couple's ceremony was only part of the extravagant memorable weekend. After a couple of days of merriment in and around Paris, on Friday, May 23, the couple treated their guests to a brunch at designer Valentino's castle and then held a lavish party at the Palace of Versailles.

Kardashian and West, who are parents to 11-month-old North West, are set to attend a friend's wedding next and will later embark on their honeymoon sans North, a source tells Us.
The couple got engaged in an equally lavish way. West proposed to the reality star with an enormous Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring on the eve of her 33rd birthday, surprising her on October 21 in front of family and friends at AT&T Park in San Francisco. West projected onto the stadium screen: "Pleeease Marry Meee!!!"

The couple were good friends prior to first stepping out together in 2012. West revealed in an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest in October 2013, he's always had a fascination with the reality star.
"I just knew I wanted her to be my girl for a long time," West admitted. "I remember I saw a picture of her and Paris Hilton … and I remember telling my boy … 'Have you seen that girl, Kim Kar-dijon?'"

Kardashian herself, however, didn't think of their relationship romantically at first.
She admitted: "I think you never know what it’ll really end up being like until you try and have a relationship and two years ago we tried and we realized it really does work. But [in the beginning], I was looking at it in such a friend way for so long and he was there to support me and be that friend to really talk about every experience I was going through, so it breaks my heart to look at it now and think I must have been killing him inside when he felt a certain way!"

This is the first marriage for West. Kardashian previously married music producer Damon Thomas in 2000 and Kris Humphries in 2011, whom she filed for divorce from only 72 days later.

As previously reported, Kardashian, 33, wore a Givenchy haute couture gown made by Riccardo Tisci while celebrating her nuptials at the medieval Forte di Belvedere. West, 36, donned a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci tux, and the couple's daughter matched her famous parents in a Givenchy by Riccardo Tischi dress.

As the couple said "I do," the star-studded crowd of guests erupted in cheer, a source tells Us. Once at their reception, which was also planned by Sharon Sacks, the "Bound 2" singer, who had a major hand in planning every detail of the wedding weekend, gave an 8-minute speech to those in attendance. "I just want to thank you all so much for being her with us," he said.

West, along with his now-wife, also spoke to their group of loved ones after touring The Palace of Versailles and before Lana Del Rey took the stage for a private performance in Paris, France on Friday.
"Kanye kept making the cutest remarks to her. He said, 'It's amazing to look around this room, there are so many talented people,'" a source told Us. He added: "'Kim's way more beautiful than I am talented.'

  As detailed by Vogue's Andre Leon Talley, guests did not know where they were headed following the couple's pre-wedding brunch at Valentino's home. "You couldn’t call it a rehearsal dinner—it called for black tie and starts at 7:00 p.m. Destination unknown to every guest, who gets his own personal security and chauffeur," Talley wrote of the extravagant event.

Guest and friend Rachel Roy shared a picture of the scene, captioning the pic simply: "A dream #weddingwkend."

The evening was filled with fashionable moments. Mom Kris took to her Instagram to share a snap of her shoes, along with designer Valentino's. The mom-ager also shared a snap with designer Alexander Wang.

The Sharon Sacks planned fete was so exquisite "Kanye West and Kim Kardashian will become legend," Talley, who is a guest of the couple this weekend, wrote.
The stunning event ended in "lavish fireworks near midnight." Kimye, as well as their family members, then retreated to the Four Seasons Hotel George V, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly, where Khloe "walked in with her shoes off."

Kylie and Jaden Smith were also spotted post Versailles heading back to George V. The 16-year-old was "dressed down" in "motorcycle boots and a leather jacket" and "was eating out of a medium tub of Haagen-Dazs ice cream."
Kourtney and beau Scott Disick opted to head for the hotel bar after the event, where Kourtney also ditched her heels.
Attendees are later set to jet off to Florence, Italy, for the couples nuptials. "Private planes are at the ready for some destination in Italy tomorrow," Talley concluded in his recap.

Beyonce wished Kim Kardashian and Kanye West well on their wedding day, even though she and Jay Z were not in attendance.
As Gossip Cop reported, the singer posted a casual no-makeup selfie just as Kardashian and West walked down the aisle on Saturday, leading to speculation among some outlets that Beyonce was dissing the newlyweds.
Not the case.
“Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love,” wrote Beyonce on Instagram, accompanied by a picture of the couple and their daughter North (see below). “God bless your beautiful family.”
But while there may not be drama between Beyonce and Kardashian, something went amiss with the bride’s brother Rob, who bailed on the nuptials at the last minute.

UPDATE: Panic as explosion hits football viewing centre in Jos

Reports of a fresh explosion in Jos, the capital of Plateau have been confirmed.
Eyewitnesses say the explosion occurred close to a football viewing centre where fans were gathered to watch the UEFA Champions League match between Spanish giant, Real Madrid and their city rivals, Athletico Madrid.
As we earlier reported, the explosion occurred around Bauchi Road close to the University of Jos.
According to Premium Times, the explosion occurred near a car park, few meters away from a security checkpoint.
The spokesperson of the Police State Command of the Nigeria Police, Felicia Ali, confirmed the incident but said details were still sketchy.
There are reports of casualties but no figure has been officially released.
Emergency responders are reportedly on hand to rescue injured victims but reports say this have been hindered due to the fear of more attacks.
Residents now live in fear of more attacks as the once peaceful city recently suffered a terrorist attack a week ago around the Jos Terminus market killing about 200 people.

Delsu Lecturer, Enajite Ojaruega kidnapped since Monday May 19th

A lecturer at the Department of English and Literary Studies, Delta State University Abraka was abducted while on her way to work on Monday, May 19, 2014.

 

Enajite Ojaruega (pictured above) was ambushed and kidnapped at gun point near Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state. Since then nothing has been heard from her abductors and her whereabouts remain unknown. 

 

ASUU, Delta State University, Abraka branch, in a statement by its Chairman, Professor Abel Diakparomre called on the state govt and security agents to ensure the release of Mrs Ojaruega, and lamented on the constant harassment and kidnap of its members

"The way things are at present, the lectures are in danger and the guarantee of their safety is in serious doubt. Further delay in the release of Mrs. Ojaruega would compel the branch to activate this principle which will not be in the interest of the society.

Dad didn't always come home leaving us in tremendous pain and worry. I couldn't bare to give her any more disruptive information. I couldn't break her heart any more than it was breaking. I kept these events to myself. Sometimes, when you smile, it's not because you are happy, it's because you are strong" she said

7 dead in California drive-by shootings

Drive-by shootings in Southern California on Friday night left seven people dead, CNN affiliate KEYT-TV reported Saturday, citing Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown.

Brown said the suspected gunman was among seven people killed in the shootings, which occurred in Isla Vista -- near the University of California, Santa Barbara.

"This was a premeditated mass murder," Brown said, and he labeled the suspect as "severely mentally disturbed."

Authorities searching for a motive were looking into a video posted on social media that contains a man's tirade against women who supposedly rebuffed him, Brown said.

Seven others suffered "gunshot wounds or traumatic injuries," Brown said. One of those victims is said to have "life-threatening injuries. The sheriff reported nine different crime scenes.

The KEYT report said "witnesses described seeing a black BMW speeding through the streets, spraying bullets at people and various targets." The suspected gunman traded fire with sheriff's deputies, and the vehicle plowed into a parked car, the report said.

The suspected gunman was found in the BMW with a shot to the head, the affiliate said. It wasn't clear whether the death was self-inflicted or whether deputies killed the suspected gunman. A handgun was recovered.

The violence occurred over a 10-minute period, from the first emergency call at 9:27 p.m. to the suspect's discovery, the KEYT report said.

Man Kills Mother And Hides Her Body In The House

An American man, who is said to had been living with the dead body of his elderly mother for months, is accused of the murder.

John Waszynski was charged after his brother told the police that John had stopped his from accessing the house.

When police arrived, 86-year-old Krystyna Waszynski's body was found decomposed beyond recognition. Medical experts found the signs of "neck compression and blunt trauma of the upper extremity" on the woman's corpse.
According to Mirror, when neighbours were questioned by the police, they were shocked to know that some woman actually lived there.
One of them, Kimberly Robinson, living on the same street for 10 years, said:
"I never even knew a woman lived there. I never saw her once. But everyone thought he was strange. You just got a creepy feeling from him."

Woman, 25, found alive after being kidnapped by her neighbor 10 years ago

(Scroll down for video) A family was happy to reunite with their daughter and her baby, who was fathered by the kidnapper.
The woman of California, who is now 25 year old, was abducted 10 years ago. She has been found alive and well.
The accused kidnapper was identified as 41-year-old Isidro Garcia. He was arrested on charges of kidnapping, rape and imprisonment, police said.
At the time of the abduction, the victim, who was 15 years old, lived in a complex in Santa Ana, with her family.
She began a relationship with Garcia, who lived nearby.
Garcia had reportedly been sexually abusing her for a couple of months before he kidnapped her.
One day, Garcia allegedly drugged the teen and took her hostage. He gave her false identity papers. In order to keep full control over the teen, Garcia took her along to his job as a night cleaner.
When the victim turned 18 years old, Garcia forced her to marry him. Two years ago, the woman gave birth to Garcia’s baby. The couple moved to many different locations to avoid being caught.
Over the years, the woman tried to escape, but was caught by Garcia, and he beat her for trying to get away. The woman’s latest attempt to escape was successful.
The woman notified police and Garcia was arrested.
A neighbor of the woman’s mother claims that the teenager ran away with Garcia voluntarily after her family did not approve of her relationship with the much older man.
Garcia’s lawyer claims that his wife filed the kidnapping charges only after the couple decided to separate.

Toni Braxton Thinks That God Gave Her Son Autism To Punish Her For Having An Abortion

Toni Braxton’s new memoir, Unbreak My Heart, reveals a lot of things about her, but most importantly, that she thinks her son’s autism is a punishment straight from G-O-D. This is an actual real thing that she thought would be appropriate and not at all offensive to write in a book that would be released to billions. I’m thinking we should file this one away into our cabinet of celebrities who are oblivious about their statuses as public figures.
Toni’s ridiculous opinion about the “cause” of her son Diezel’s autism is due to the guilt that she carried over having chosen to terminate one of her pregnancies.

“Amid my major misgivings about abortion, I eventually made the gut-wrenching decision. In my heart, I believed I had taken a life—an action that I thought God might one day punish me for…My initial rage was quickly followed by another strong emotion: guilt. I knew I’d taken a life…I believed God’s payback was to give my son autism.”

Wait, what?? Did a Duggar say this? This is shocking and offensive on so many levels. As someone who’s spent an incredible amount of time with an autistic person, I would just like to assure Toni that it isn’t some sort of retribution that people on the Naughty List get in their stockings. So don’t worry, Toni; if you don’t tip your next server well, your son won’t wake up with double autism the next day.
Also, whether you’d like to call it a condition or a disorder, or refer to those on the spectrum as “autistic” or “people with autism,” can we all unite to agree that hers is the most selfish response ever? It’s like, way to make discovering this new facet of her son’s life all about her and her guilty conscience.
Ugh, I’m just truly sad for Toni that she thinks this way about her own son. But I’m even more worried that her son will find out that his own mother stigmatizes such a significant part of who he is. Seriously, what the hell gives?
