INCEST : Native Doctor Fathers Nine Kids With His Own Daughter
Agbofa Yao Hateka, the 47-year-old fetish priest who fathered nine kids with his daughter, has pleaded with a Sogakope Circuit Court to forgive him his sins as he would not do it again.
He has so far made two appearances in the Sogakope Circuit Court for having nine children with his daughter, four of whom were dead.
Agbofa Yao Hateka was in the Sogakope court on 12th and 13th July charged with incest.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Emmanuel Atsor, the case was reported to the Dabala Police by the chief of Ashagborkope, Togbui Sekpetey II, who is also a tax collector.
The complainant told the police on June 7th 2012 that the accused was married to his biological daughter, Baby Hateka, with whom he had nine kids.
Yao Hateka allegedly impregnated Baby when she was 11 years old and subsequently had eight other children with her.
Out of the lot, there were now five kids aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half-old.
During her interrogation however, Baby Hateka told the police she had eight children with her father out of which three died, contradicting the accused person’s narration that he had only a two-year-old baby with his daughter called Dodzi.
The accused would not allow anybody to intervene as he allegedly threatened people with death if they meddled in his sexual relationship with his daughter.
He allegedly threatened to invoke the spirit of his gods to deal with meddlers. The accused told the court that he was both a farmer and a fisherman, although the prosecution witness claimed he was unemployed. Before his arrest, the accused told the police that his daughter suffered from sickle cell anaemia, and had come to stay with him from a cocoa-growing area.
Togbui Sekpetey II had earlier fined the accused a fowl so his daughter could be cleansed before reporting the matter to the police.
The case has been adjourned to 20th July 2012 for judgment.

Rocket-propelled grenade kills school pupil in Jos
Jos— A seven-year-old boy was, yesterday, killed when an unknown gunman fired a rocket-propelled grenade into a private high school in Bukuru area of the Plateau State capital, creating pandemonium in the city.
Four people, a widow and her three children, were also killed by unknown gunmen at Sabon Gida Kanap in the same area at abut 2 a.m. yesterday. It was unclear if it was an armed robbery attack or another of the series of killings in the state.
An unknown man was said to have alighted from an Opel Vectra car at about 9.30a.m. and fired the grenade towards the Nure Islamic Private High School, almost opposite the Jos South Local Government Secretariat, but missed his target, shattering the skull of the boy, believed to be a passer-by instantly.
The loud sound of the rocket fuelled rumours that a bomb had gone off at the local government secretariat, forcing residents to dive for cover.
The explosion was said to have heightened hostilities along ethno-religious lines as residents of the area trooped out poised for a showdown. Some of the residents came out with guns and started shooting sporadically into the air.
However, security sources said it was members of the Special Task Force (STF) who were drafted to the area who fired warning shots to disperse the surging crowd.
The prompt intervention of security agencies saved the situation from degenerating as calm returned after some hours.
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Emmanuel Abuh, confirmed the incident and the death of the lad, adding that normalcy had been restored.
Also confirming the incident, Media Officer of the STF, Captain Salisu Mustapha, said the firing of shots into the air “was to make people go back to their houses because they turned out en mass and we felt it could turn into something else, so we tried to disperse them. The gun shots were mostly teargas and now the high way is safe for people to pass.”
The widow was said to have been killed with her children when the gunmen invaded their residence. Mustapha confirmed receiving report of the attack on the residence which he described as an armed robbery incident but said he could not confirm the deaths.

'Breaking Bad' Season Five Premiere Breaks Series' Ratings Record
Ever since Sunday night's season-five premiere, "Breaking Bad" is breaking records.
According to a press release from AMC, 2.9 million viewers tuned in to be reunited with Walt, Jesse and company for "Live Free or Die," making it the most-watched episode of the series yet. Compared with the season-four premiere in July 2011, the total number of viewers was up 14 percent, and the coveted 18 to 49 demographic in particular saw a 34 percent increase in viewership.
"Breaking Bad" focuses on Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a cancer-stricken teacher, and his entry into the world of meth manufacturing and dealing, alongside his former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).
The premiere came fresh off the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con with series creator Vince Gilligan and members of the cast. MTV News caught up with Cranston while at Comic-Con and asked him about Sunday night's season five cold open that takes place on his character's 52nd birthday.
MTV Hive brings you the chemistry behind the "Breaking Bad" music.
"We find out he has a new name, he's from a different state, he looks different, he looks thinner, he has a full head of hair, but he looks weaker," Cranston said. "He looks more desperate. He's buying a machine gun. He's got a different car. I mean, what is going on?"
To those wondering that exact same thing, Cranston said that he didn't have the answer either, but he expressed faith that the answers will come.
"Rest assured, all those little details will be revealed in time," Cranston said. "You need to be a little patient."
The fifth season will be the final one for "Breaking Bad," with a total of 16 episodes. "Breaking Bad" had garnered Emmy wins for both Cranston and Paul, and the series itself has also been nominated twice for "Outstanding Drama Series." In AMC's rating-record press release, AMC's president Charlie Collier also gave a comment on the show.
"From day one, 'Breaking Bad' has been a passion project for all of us at AMC," Collier said. "This show has helped define what our brand stands for in terms of supporting quality storytelling and creative risk-taking. Working with these terrifically creative people on such outstanding material has been a joy-filled ride. I'm so pleased to share this success with the entire 'Breaking Bad' team. We look forward to sharing the final 16 episodes with 'Breaking Bad''s passionate fans. As our marketing campaign says, 'All hail 'The King.'

Man Stones Girlfriend To Death
A young man, Mr. Lawrence Ette, has been accused of stoning his 23-year-old girlfriend, Miss Rosaline Christopher, to death.
An eyewitness, who is the landlady of the deceased, Miss Dorothy Bassey, said Rosaline had a brawl with her boyfriend, before he allegedly killed her.
The tragedy was said to have occurred penultimate Sunday at 13, Academy Street, Calabar, Cross River State.
Bassey said Rosaline, who lived with her aged mother and siblings, had been in a relationship with Ette for a while.
She said because of the frosty relationship between the lovers in recent time, Rosaline’s mother stopped Ette from visiting her daughter.
“But even with the instruction from the old woman, Ette kept sneaking in to see the girl particularly at night,” she added.
It was learnt that during one of such visits penultimate Sunday, there was a misunderstanding between the lovers, which prompted the girl to ask Ette to leave.
Bassey said, “Rosaline did not know that Ette took her phone away. After some time, her younger sister, Nne, wanted to use the phone only for her to find out that the phone was missing.
“That was when she discovered that Ette had gone with the phone. Nne decided to go and look for Ette so that she can get her sister’s phone.
“But while Nne took the main exit and headed for Target Street, Ette sneaked into the house through the back door from Webber Street and Nne missed him.”
It was gathered that when Ette returned to the house, an argument ensued between the lovers resulting in a fight.
“She did not scream while they were struggling because she wanted to send him away quietly without attracting her mother’s attention but that was her mistake as Ette stepped out of the room, got a stone and hit her with it,” the landlady said.
She said when he realised that the girl was dead; Ette allegedly attempted to dispose of the body by throwing it over the fence.
Bassey said, “He carried her on his shoulder towards the backyard and was trying to throw the body over the fence. When the girl’s mother heard a strange noise at the backyard, she asked Nne to find out what it was.
“But when Nne got to the backyard, she saw Ette carrying her sister on his shoulder. Immediately he sensed that he had been sighted, he abandoned the corpse and fled.
“Since it was dark, a neighbour brought out a torch and during a search, Rosaline’s corpse was found inside the gutter.”
PUNCH Metro learnt that her corpse had been taken to the mortuary at the General Hospital, Calabar.
One of Ette’s neighbours at 10, Anating Street, Calabar, who craved anonymity, said the suspect “hurriedly came here and packed some clothes into a bag and left and has since not been seen.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. John Umoh, said the matter which was reported at Atakpa Police Station was being handled by the homicide unit of the police.
“It will not be long before we get him, the advisable thing for him to do is to come out of hiding now,” the PPRO said
Stallone begs for end of 'speculation'
Sylvester Stallone appealed Monday for an end to "speculation and questionable reporting" about his son's death, while police and the coroner investigate what killed Sage Stallone last week.
Sage Stallone, 36, was found dead in his Los Angeles home Friday by his housekeeper, who was asked by Stallone's mother to check on him after his lawyer and friend, George Braunstein, was unable to reach him, Braunstein told HLN's Jane Velez-Mitchell on Monday.
Sylvester Stallone, in a statement to CNN Monday, referred to celebrity news websites' speculation about his son using drugs.
"This is in reference to the speculation and questionable reporting surrounding the death of my son Sage," Stallone said. "Because when a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my wonderfully talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha, because this agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace."
The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, which completed the autopsy Sunday, declined to release any preliminary findings at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department, which is conducting its own investigation, a coroner's spokesman said Monday.
It could take six weeks for toxicology tests, which would show if drug use was involved, to be completed by the coroner's lab, the spokesman said.
While the coroner is in charge of the death investigation, detectives from the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division also routinely get involved in high-profile deaths, a police spokesman said.
Sage Stallone was not known for going out to clubs and partying, Braunstein said. His vices were candy bars and soda, he said.
Sudden celebrity deaths often draw early speculation about drug involvement in Hollywood, but in several recent cases the cause of death proved to be natural.
Although the investigation into actor Corey Haim's death two years ago began as a "suspected prescription medication overdose," toxicology tests "revealed no significant contributing factors" from drugs, the coroner later concluded. Pneumonia, not drug abuse, killed Haim.

50 Cent Supports Frank Ocean's Coming Out, Defends His Artistry
After Frank Ocean penned a letter about his sexuality several weeks ago, many members of the Hip Hop community supported the Odd Future crooner, the latest being 50 Cent. During an interview with MTV News UK, the G-Unit general said that anyone who has a problem with Ocean "is an idiot" and that he respects his creativity.
"Anyone that has an issue with Frank Ocean is an idiot," he said. "I think Frank Ocean is a talented artist, I think he's created material that made me know his name. That impressed me, with things he said on a song like 'Novacane.' I could care less about what his personal preference is in the actual bedroom."
Fif also spoke on how this represents a shift in attitudes over the past few years, crediting President Barack Obama as one of the reasons that Ocean's coming out was widely accepted. "Obama is for same-sex marriage," he said. "If the president is saying that, then who am I to go the other way."
