In an area where religious practices are what keep the people alive, it is sad that the Tibetan people are once again crying out for religious freedom.

Marking the anniversary of the Dalai Lama being forced to flee the country back in 1959, March is also the month when things went terribly wrong during an unsuccessful revolt against China resulting in deadly riots in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa in 2008. These deadly events shocked the world.

China continues to defend its position on its treatment of the Tibetan people and claims to be improving their living conditions by pouring money into their areas. But the drastic measures the Tibetan people seem to be taking makes that questionable.
