FRESH LAD

By Lori Tosan

Last week I stumbled on a very intestine personality in Abuja, a young vibrant rapper, versatile with the flows, pragmatic with the word play
So who is Fresh Lad?
First of all i have to start by saying my name, which is Adegbe George.
But my stagename, which is also my nick name is Freshlad Shinobi. I am
currently a student of Mechanical Engineering in Ahmadu Bello
University, Zaria. I was born on 15th April, 1992. I am the second
child in an Idoma family of 8 children.
How did your music career start?
I've always loved music,
especially Rap music, since i was at least 6 years old. I used to rap a lot of Ja Rule songs then. I was a big fan. Then i fell in love with
50 Cent and he was a big inspiration to me. Unlike most artistes, I never sang in my church choir but i was in a clique in my junior
secondary school and we used to go around to parties and we'ld sing and
mime to other people's songs. I knew a lot of rap songs in my head but
it wasnt till i was 12 years old that i wrote my first rap song. Even
though it was gospel and a little childish(the song i mean), people
loved it in my neighbourhood and in my school. It was from then on that
i decided to pick up a career in music as a professional rapper. Since
then.
Do u have your own songs?
i have written not less than 100 songs. There's been no stopping me. Writing songs come to me as easy as breathing. I've been going to
music studios with other musician friends of mine, but i hadnt recorded
my own song till 2 years ago. My first ever song to be recorded in a
music studio was Hot Profile. It was recorded mixed and mastered by
Modexty of Rough Icons Studio, Lagos. Since then, i've recorded 8
songs. Most of them, with the instrumental of other songs, which I liked. i'm just doing that to prove to the populace that i could i

could actually do better than the original owner, with that
instrumental. And most people that have listened to my mixtapes

Why do u like doing mixtapes?
actually like mine than the original songs. I am a spontaneous person always eager to bust a rhyme, spit verses on any 16 bars, but still I've done a few
collaborations with some friends in my neighbourhood and i've also
performed in some parties, events and shows. Though the events aren't the big and publicised types. I have due respect for every rapper inhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Nigeria. But i believe that they are not good enough. I believe thathttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
with my style of rap and the way my rhymes are being coordinated

What are your projections for the future?
I WOULD be the next big thing in the music industry, if given the
platform to exhibit my talent, I am not signed to any label yet but I am open to do business with any body who want to do business u can reach me on these numbers 08163725080, reverbnation/freshlad
